If you were Mimic of the Exiles (or from the early 616 days) which 5 mutant powers would you choose to Mimic? Only 5 powers and they must be from existing mutants.

I would choose:

Colossus
Cyclops
Cannonball
Quicksilver
Sabretooth

My reasoning for the five I chose?
Colossus for the invulnerability and stength.
Cyclops for distance attacks.
Cannonball for flight and when combined with Colossus to be a human missile
Quicksilver - because who would not want to be super fast
Sabretooth - For the healing (I did not choose Wolverine because I did not want the claws or to be too cliche)

jean grey as phoenix
iceman
scarlet witch circa house of M
joseph (not OLD magneto with the weak powers)
storm

he should then steal emma's cerebra wi-fi device (courtesy of SAGE) to help him perform such telepathic feats as "far-casting" and "language downloading" with jean grey's psi powers.

then, he should eat the universe with his newly-acquired god-powers.

Kitty: Walk through walls= ♥
Charles Xavier: Read everyone's thoughts, erase troublesome memories.
Northstar or Aurora: Travel at the speed of light.
Wolverine: Immortality
Illyana: She has the best Teleport, except for the time innacuracy drawback. She can also teleport groups, which Nightcrawler struggles with, right?

Following your rules (hate rules... blah):

1. Mercury's liquid metal for physical attacks (liquid metal weaponry), protection (liquid metal form grants some measure of invulnerability), sneaky travel (moving through small spaces)
2. Hellion's telekinesis for energy attacks (tk weaponry), protection (tk shields), travel (flight)
3. Shadowcat's phasing (she exists!!) for stealth (quietly getting past obstacles), some physical attacks (disruption of the electricity in a person's body), travel (air walking)
4. Um... somebody's darkforce (there's gotta be someone with darkforce still, right?) for physical attacks (darkforce weapons), stealth (darkness), travel (teleportation, flight)
5. Wolverine's healing for well... healing (wonder how that would work with a liquid metal body, oh well)

But why limit to just mutants? Mimic can mimic the powers of any superhuman.
And if I'm on an alternate Earth, that could open up the field for other powers, I guess.

I was not aware he could mimic other super powers. I thought he was limited to mutants. Oh well let's keep it to mutants for now. We can do all super powers next time.

I like seeing the use of the New Mutants like Hellion and Mercury. Mercury with Wolverine's healing power would be nigh-unstoppable.

No one has chosen Darwin though. Is that because as you adapt you would start to look all freaky with gils and stuff?

I don't care about looking freaky. It's pretty much the same reason I dislike Darwin: I like powers that are cut-and-dried.

2.)onslaught(not sure if he counts but hey why not if he doesn't count then X-man) powers of both magneto and xavier

4.)rogue-absorb powers

I don't know much about this Tempo guy, but a time manipulator would be definitely handy.
The last one is tough, either Colossus for strength and defense or Madrox to multiply. Maybe I can ditch teleportation or time manipulation for one of them. And probably there is a mutant wh o can do both but I cant recall. Maybe Sinister or Apocalypse?

Don't know if Morph can have babies or not. But, his cells are like limitless amounts of energy. Proteus is in the Exiles Morph and he is not draining him. He doesn't need to sleep, can take modified shapes (ie, a brick with a face) that Mystique can't do, and untrackable. Don't know a better assassin.

Now that I think about it, I might would look into Proteus or Psylocke's brother, Jamie's powers. Reality warping could be nice. :evilsmile:

i think time manipulation, madroxs duplication and telepathy is a killer combo. You could make a hundred of yourself, have them slow time down/speed themselves up to read a ton of books and peoples minds, and just become a font of knowledge. Add in a two powers explicitly for combat (preferably one with immortality/healing factor) and your golden.

Reality mainpulation would actually be a good power to have i mean how do you trump that?...I reckon i'd go for proteus or possibly franklin richards(he is a mutant right?) Is the mimic in the 616 dead?
