Okay, so we have an "Original" X-Force Appreciation Thread. I thought it was about time we had a "C&C's" (Chris Yost & Craig Kyle's) X-Force Appreciation Thread. There are reasons for this:

- Lots of People seem to be really enjoying the title.
- It's New and Fresh.
- The Writing is awesome!
- The Art is just amazingly cool!
- It's got a great cast of characters.
- And, really, what else can you say, except it freakin' ROCKS!

CURRENT CAST:
: Wolverine aka James "Logan" Howlett.
: X-23 aka Laura Kinney.
: Warpath aka James "Jimmy" Proudstar.
: Wolfsbane aka Rahne Sinclair.
: Angel/Archangel aka Warren Worthington.
: Elixir aka Joshua "Josh" Foley.
: Domino aka Neena Thurman.
: Vanisher aka Telford Porter.
: Cyclops aka Scott Summers.

STORYLINES:
: Angels And Demons - Issues #1-6.
: Old Ghosts - Issues #7-10.
: Who The Hell Is Eli Bird - Issues #11.
: Suicide Leper - Issues #12-15.

(I'll re-edit this thread accordingly as the months go by)

OKAY. So, with the basics posted above, discuss, discuss, discuss!!!

Every thread should be a C&C X-Force appreciation thread.

Every single one.

I've decided that C&C need to have something happen to Logan where he starts looking more like McNiven's Old Man Logan character. If for no other reason than I think OML looks cool and would love to see both Crain and Choi's visual depictions of that character.

Also, that would mean no more of the overly exaggerated points in Wolverine's hair from Crain.

I misread this as 'CC' and cried out in pain. The idea of anyone but Yost on this makes me sad, the idea of CC on X-force makes me suicidal.

Isn't every issue review thread an appreciation thread? It is, yes. Kinda, I guess. One of the reasons why I decided to make a "series" thread was after a week or so the issues threads get burried for the rest of the month and thereafter, so I thought I'd make a thread where we could talk about the series in general. As so meny on CBR seem to be enjoying it. Plus, Chris, Craig and Mike come on CBR and hang with us too.

I move for the immediate removal of Cyclops from this thread.Lol. Well, he's in the series. So fairs fair, I guess.

We're going to be like VH1 and start I love the 2000's in 2008. Let's get nostalgic over the past nine months, woo!

Really, it's a great series so far, but maybe, just maybe this is a bit too soon.

To be honest I'm just glad someone made an appreciation thread for a character/series that matter. Still this thread lacks pictures and pictures always make an appreciation thread work.

cyclops, for the purposes of readership enjoyment, is nothing more than a hallucination of wolverine's in x-force.

hallucinations are not characters or cast members.

i second timbox's nomination for cyclops' removal from the list. to replace him, i nominate the cuckoos.

i've enjoyed this version of x-force so far.

what's most surprised me is that it hasn't really felt like "the x-men's mutants with claws" all the time. i've also enjoyed x-23 more than i thought i would. warren & domino being in the book are good things as well.

Best book going currently. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be the addition of the original murderous Hound and Selene's arch-nemesis, Rachel Summers. <3 <3

I move for the immediate removal of Cyclops from this thread.
As the least important support character, he's where he finally deserves being... bottoming the list.

I decided to buy myself Angels and Demons as an early Christmas presents. Yay! I love me so much. :D

Anyways, loved it, though I had already figured I would. I'll be buying the rest soon, too, so that way I can be in the loop with the rest of you. xD

I was just gonna ask if Cyclops was an actual member of X-Force or is he like the guy from MISSION IMPOSSIBLE who just phones in all the missions.

He's the Xavier of X-Force. X-23 is his Sage.

Or Charlie...from Charlie's Angels...I've wondered the same Marvell...he brought the group together and sends them on their missions but he does not actively participate on the mission...thus, my question would be...should he be part of the missions?...personally, as much as I love his whole new 'tude...I love the fact that Logan gets to lead albeit, unwillingly so...besides, don't the other x-fanatics get their Scott (and Emma) fix from all the other x-titles?

Ok then. So who is actually the leader? Scott or Logan? Is Logan the field leader and Scott the head honcho? Can Scott override Logan's decisions? Has it happened yet? Sorry for all the questions but I'm looking for some X-trades to buy for Christmas and X-Force seemed kind of interesting.

The only decision I believe he over-rode was Logan's wish not to be team leader, as well as the inclusion of the rest of the team...left up to Wolverine, X-Force would be another "Wolverine" solo-ongoing on the shelf...and do we really need another?
So far, Logan is field leader...but the sitch does not (has never) gone according to (his) plans...

Ok, Scott made an intelligent, logical decision that benefitted many readers in the long run. Good for Scott. Thanks IN!

Yeah, because his hair looking different will automatically make him a different character.  :rolleyes:It will make him look diferent wich, given that he's a massively successfull character with a unique look, is stupid. What's next, lets make him taller?
Face it, when Old Man Logan ends, at this rate sometime in the spring of 2012, there will be no permanent changes in the character. Hell, the last time Millar wrote the book, in a story that was actually in the present time, there was one change: Northstar left the X-Men. And that only happened because he was gay and they were diyng to get him out of the books... wich, ironically, are about fighting against prejudice.
That's reality, feel free to join us in it at any time.

Cool an appreciation thread! I love X-force I love Wolverine and the rest of the team. I was totally for this series from the get go, and aside the sigh that Logan will be in another book(even though im a huge Logan fan) i was thrilled. I also really like Warren as Archangel as opposed to Angel IMO although i have nothing against normal Angel. and the stories just keep getting better. About Cyclops i dont actully want him to be involved in the missions Logan should always command the field. Domino was a welcome adition she looks good to besides we did need a female on the adault side:wink:
