Nightwing clarification

I haven't really been following the Superman-books or the discussion around them, but the new Nightwing over in Action is supposed to be Superboy/Conner Kent/Kon-El, right? I read something about tactile telekinesis somewhere.
Either way, a new Nightwing showing up means something's in store for Dick, right? Personally, I don't see what options they have other than killing him or making him the new Batman. If there are no vacancies for butlers over at Wayne Mansion, that is.

its possible that the New Krypton Nightwing won't last outside the storyline...

The new Nightwing and Flamebird are supposed to take over Action Comics next year, so I believe they are here to stay. As for Dick, I'm pretty sure he'll become Batman given that full page spread in Batman #681 with him holding the cowl and the cape overshadowing him. As for Gotham's "Nightwing"... no one is actually saying anything about that. Which leads me to 1 of two conclusions 1) There will be no more "Nightwing" or 2) Tim becomes Nightwing and they are keeping it a secret for later.

We don't know who the new Nightwing and Flamebird are yet. There is a thread in the "Superman" Forum with tons o' theories, though. Their identities won't be revealed until sometime early next year according to this interview with Greg Rucka (http://www.newsarama.com/comics/120801-Rucka-Action.html) ....

At least for about a year. We don't know how their story will play out as Superman's space trip comes to an end.

The teases are clearly set up to make us think that Conner Kent is in the costume, which means he most likely is not. But:

The solicit for the DCU Holiday Special says that Nightwing delivers a special gift to Robin. We don't know the time frame, but there is a possibility that it is the new Nightwing who visits Robin. If that turns out to be Conner coming back to see Tim (who is apparently losing yet another loved one with Batman RIP) then this could be a story for the ages.

The thing is, that would also let us know who the new Nightwing is before he begins starring in Action Comics. Who knows which Nightwing and how much of him we'll get in the special.

Likely new lineup, after Feb. '09 I guess:
Dick Grayson: Batman.
Tim Drake: Red Robin. Maybe still Robin.
Some guy with ties to Superman, or at least Krypton: Nightwing.
