to kill a Team 7 member (Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura)? I just thought of this when my friend & I were watching the "Sandaime vs. Orochimaru Fight" in the Sound/Sand invasion. While the Third was fighting Oro, he was having flashbacks of when Oro was his student, up to the point when he finds out the truth about Orochimaru. Even though he knew Orochimaru was evil, he still couldn't bring himself to kill his former student. So I just wonder, if Kakashi were ever in a situation where he had to kill one (any one, or all) of his former students, do you think he could do something of that nature, or would he do like Sandaime and let them go?

Why can't you just ask these things on the regular Naruto thread?

It's what its there for.

As for the question. If there was absolutely no other way around it and it was immediately necessary then yeah. I think Kakashi could kill one of team seven.

I think he could. IT'd be tough but if he could see no other way Kakashi would do it.

All except possibly Naruto since he is the son of his former teacher.

Because If I can help it, I like to just have my own seperate thread.

I think the same. Although, I think the OP is vague enough to question the circumstances of the situation. Like, If Kakashi was ordered to do it because the Leaf thought Naruto was to dangerous and he was the only one to get close enough to Naruto, I don't think he could bring himself to kill him.

Kakashi is the closest you get to your steryotypical ninja in this series. To him, the mission comes first. Always. I think he could kill all the team seven members if he truely had to.

You haven't read his backstory have you?.... or even the bell test?

Yeah, I'm gonna have to disagree, to an extent.

Kakashi /used/ to always put the mission first, since his pop didn't, and he got shamed so badly, he had to take his own life.

So yeah, he used to be all like that, Until Obito died, and even before that, Obito managed to get through to him thinking about his comrades first, which was why he went to save rin, and bailed out Obito, despite it not really being the foremost part of the gameplan.

Obito dying reinforced this to a major extent, so much that the better part of 15 years later, he's saying Obito's lines about Ninja who can't follow orders being trash, and ninja who abadon their comrades are even lower.

So, this depends on the circumstances.

If the elders are paranoid about Kyubbi Kid, and don't want Akatsuki to get him? Nope.

If he was planning to destroy the village and take over, ala the Uchiha? I'd imagine so.

Generally speaking, it'll have to be bad before Kakashi would try to hurt his buds.

As usual, Miburo summed up my thoughts on the matter.
