I don't know, but Morrison's group of X-students feels like it would work better as a TV series. Personally, I'd prefer the movie to focus on the O5 or whatever it is in the movie-verse.

You're talking about apples and oranges here, not to mention two entirely different groups. That would be like having the cast of DS9 starring in the upcoming "Star Trek" film about the beginning days of the OS crew. (Not that I would mind having a DS9 movie, I just want it to be a DS9 movie and not an OS movie.)

But stylistically they are two completely different animals. You can't do a Grant Morrison "New X-Men" movie and call it "X-men: First Class". It just isn't.

DS9 = Deep Space 9

OS=Original Series (Kirk, Spock and all that)

The upcoming Star Trek Film is the story of the early days of the first Enterprise crew, sort of a "Star Trek: First Class".

If one wants to make a Grant Morrison New X-Men film, then they should just make a Grant Morrison New X-Men film completely separate from First Class.

Do you mean in terms of the randoms student body from Morrison's run? Or in terms of his actual plot arcs?

To me a big N.O. on both. The only thing I really liked from his run was Beak.

While I loved the majority of Morrison's run, I just can't see it being used as a basis for the flick. I would love to see a Live-Action Beak, Dust, and maybe even Xorn, NOT Xorneto, just Xorn!

I'm intrigued to no end to see what angle the "First Class" part of the title will be approached, and I have my ideas and hope and wants, but I hate getting all fanficy and then the high of it all leave...ugh.
