Basically, what bands have the best opening and closing numbers in a concert?
I'm watching the No Bull DVD, and AC/DC starting with Back in Black and finishing with For Those About To Rock is a hell of a tandem.

Cheap Trick, with "Hello There" and "Goodnight".

When I saw Motley Crue back during the "Dr. Feelgood" tour, they opened with "Kickstart My Heart" and finished the encore with "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)".

Welcome to the Jungle to Paradise City is like it's own little journey.

True. But you get hick kid arrives in big town in the first song, begs to go back home in the last, and in between is a bunch of stuff about addiction like Mr. Brownstone. OK, the album wasn't exactly set up that way, but it should have been.

I don't know that he's ever actually opened and closed the one show with those two particular songs. Did you see him do that one night? That would've been damn cool.

In "Paradise" he's not really wanting to go back to Indiana, though - just to some mythic place where the grass is green and the girls are pretty.

Well, if not back to Indiana exactly, then out of the Jungle/LA.

Just out of curiosity, do you have a date for that one? I can't find it on Brucebase.

My first concert was a triple bill of a Flock of Seagulls, the Fixx and the Police. It was an amazing day at Holleder Stadium, and a very fond memory!

Not one I personally attended but the show that was recorded and became Neil Young's Rust Never Sleeps.
I love that kind of bookending.

"Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who. A great album closer. A great concert closer.
