Hello,
I am an undergraduate Anthropology major at Hendrix College working on my senior thesis. The topic of my thesis is a cultural comparison of American comic books and Japanese manga. My main focus is on cultural differences surrounding comic books in general and how an American audience perceives manga. I am also interested in the different storytelling techniques.
No real names will be used in my thesis and you do not have to answer every question. I do ask that you try to be descriptive in your answers. I am still new to the comic book world and I had not read any manga until I started this project. Please send your responses to novaksj@hendrix.edu by December 2nd.
