Bio-
Gatecrasher and her tech-net are a bunch of bounty hunters who were first seen trying to capture Kapiton Briton, and mistakenly went after the 616 Captain Britain but helped him escape once learning the truth.

She was later sent to 14th Century Earth, and went to an all you can eat buffet, but unfortunately ate some undercooked meat, and got salmonella. Fortunately, Brian and Meggan were around and helped save her.

Saturnyne later sent the Technet to capture Rachel. This battle happened several times over the course of Ray being in Excalibur.

We finally see Gate Crasher attempting to capture Franklin Richards after the whole Heroes Reborn thing-y. And that's all we've seen of them since 1998.

Did you know?: The Technet member known as Yap is intensely attached to Gatecrasher to her annoyance. He’s the member that first calling her Mother!

My spider sense tells me Gatecrasher will be big for 2010. Plus h8rs, she's not a tranny, she's just blue and fat. Stop being racist against aliens.

Yes, it's a very kickass series. Lots of character...lots of mystery. And I really like the art (though it's not for everyone).

Modern day, it's easy to overlook as many of the cast is lost to the sands of time.

Bio:

Sybil Dvorak was raised by gypsies in the town of Foscani, Romania. She spent most of her time alone tending to her gardens and mastering her mutant abilities. It was here in relative obscurity that she developed her fetish for telekinetically manipulating fabrics. She created wings for herself as delicate and soft as her beautiful supple skin (LOL with the Harlequin Romance angle).

Her quiet life was turned upside down when HUGE movie star Jason Reed came to her sleepy little villa to film a remake of the Dracula movie. He romanced and then seduced little naïve Sybil and brought her back to sunny California. They married shortly after their resettling, but she was a duck out of water and Jason was always away "Filming". So suspicious that Jason was tricking it on the side, Sybil did what any sensible girl would do in this situation. She created herself a costume and started attacking dinner parties. Yep. You read that right. She was convinced that she'd find her stray husband diddling a party guest. Yep. I said diddling. During one of these parties, Sybil ran into Jessica Drew, AKA Spider-Woman. Jessica changed into her costume real quick like, and the two fought. Gypsy Moth turned Jessica's costume against her binding her encased in her own outfit and tried to drown her in a swimming pool. Jessica managed to break free, but instead of turning Gypsy Moth in to authorities decided that they were gal pals and that Gypsy Moth and her had lots in common. Yep, I am not making this up.

Soon after her encounter with Spider-Woman, Jason Reed died of a mysterious blood clot in his heart. Sybil inherited everything and used her new riches and fortune to create a drug empire and a cult based on worshipping her beauty. LOLZ. I love this Bio! She created an identity named Sybarite to run her cult. She encouraged her followers to begin stealing for her. Jessica Drew began investigating the thefts and it led her to the mysterious Sybarite. She again went to a dinner party, which she knew Sybarite was hosting and was promptly drugged. She awoke to Gypsy Moth AKA Sybarite who promptly tried to drown her again. It was a thing. What can I say. Jessica escapes but before fighting, appeals to Gypsy Moth's conscience. Gypsy says she doesn't have one! Jessica has to save a cracked out friend and when she turns around Gypsy Moth is gone.

Soon after, Gypsy Moth gets kidnapped by Tick-Tock and Locksmith who used some high tech device to nullify her powers. The duo kidnapped Jessica Drew and Tigra as well. Jessica devises a scheme that MacGuyver would have been proud of and they all break free. Gypsy uses her powers on the villains to tie them up and leaves them to the police. Is our crazy mutie sociopath growing a heart? Or were there no swimming pools to throw them into? We'll never know.

Gypsy Moth did some time as a member of the Night Shift, Shroud's group of villains and tangled with Power Broker and The West Coast Avengers. She left the Night Shift for some work for hire under Crimson Cowl's Master's of Evil. When she found out that Justine Hammer, AKA Crimson Cowl, had laced all of her henchmen/women with a bio toxin, she joined Hawkeye's Thunderbolts and fought the the Cowl's Master's of Evil. She took down the Cowl by unraveling her weapon. She also changed her name to Skein and said she was a Thunderbolt for the "kicks". *hey!* When the original Thunderbolts returned, she decided to leave the team, stating that she'd only stayed with the team to try and seduce the female member Songbird. WTF? Alright for Bisexuality! When she realized that Songbird wasn't into the dirty leg, she left for greener pastures. She was confirmed as still powered in the 198 files.

She's wicked, and been drug-addled before, and is bisexual. I mean, how is this girl NOT being used in San Francisco with the X-Men, too? She and Karma could have a fun relationship that goes sour when she reveals she wants men, too! Do something with her, Marvel, damn you!

Peepers is fine, as well as the rest of The Resistants. Only X-characters I don't like are the 90's ones like Jubilee, Gambit, Bishop, Cable, Psylocke, X-Man, etc. Yet for some reason, I STILL like them all, just less than the rest.

I think the 90's characters would excel if they were all on a team together. I woudl read that book. But I don't like them mixed in with the classic ones and even newer ones. No matter how much they change appearance or identity, they are still 90's product.

Perhaps I'm just upset that they all got a shot when the New Mutants did not.

Bio:
Jordan Boone was a renowned physicist working for the company Alchemax in the 2099 universe. In this universe, companies basically ruled the world. When Jordan found out that Alchemax was creating an Aesir program designed to turn folks into replications of Norse Gods, he snuck in and ran the experiment on himself. But without the computer chip that was meant to be implanted in the subjects so that Alchemax could control them. After receiving the powers of Loki, Boone went to live in a floating city called Valhalla with the other “Norse Gods”.

Meanstreak, a member of X-men 2099 was good friends with Jordan and decided to investigate Boone’s disappearance. He broke into Boone’s apartment and found information that led to Ravage, another super-hero in the 2099 world. Ravage and Meanstreak travelled to Valhalla where they fought with some of the Norse Gods, until Loki/Boone turned off some of his mind controlled pantheon’s powers. The X-men, Doom (President of this World’s America), and Spider-Man, aided Boone in taking down the Aesir program. At the end of the battle, Loki/Boone escaped.

He was next seen in Vegas gambling at the Synge Casino, which was owned by brother and sister, Lytton and Desdemona Synge. The siblings kidnapped Boone for cheating and began to torture him. During the torture, Boone’s already damaged mind snapped and he discarded the Loki persona for a new one. Thus was born Halloween Jack. The formerly brilliant scientist escaped the casino’s clutches and the mad lunatic began plotting his revenge on the siblings.

In order to accomplish his goals of payback, Halloween Jack enlisted his friend Meanstreak again. With Meanstreak’s computer prowess, Halloween Jack managed to steal all of the Synge sibling’s cash and place it into his personal bank account. He then bought the Casino out from under them. Unfortunately, Boone was no longer a rational thinking man, so that was not enough. He decided to punish the city of Las Vegas as well, with plans to punish the World if his first step worked. He created, again with Meanstreak’s help, a Virtual Un-Reality projector that would have unleashed chaos energy from another dimension that he planned to envelope all of Vegas in. Meanstreak was not so much of a hero or a victim of some SERIOUS peer pressure, I guess. They started the process and it was working, when President Doom arrived with a boatload of EMPs and foiled all of Halloween Jack’s fun! It appeared that Halloween Jack died hatching his trickery.

But somehow Halloween Jack was pulled into the timestream, maybe it was all the chaos energy and dimensional chatter created by his Un-Reality Projector, but Boone was pulled from the 2099 timestream mere moments before his death and deposited in our 616 timeline. He had a run in with Domino in, where else?, Vegas Baby!

He pestered Domino for an issue and was never seen again.

Pestilence has the ability to cause extreme sickness and eventual death within anyone she touches. All three were given robotic steeds by Apocalypse which are able to fly.

After the failure of his first group of mercenaries, the Alliance of Evil, Apocalypse began plucking powerful mutants to form the Four Horsemen, a quartet of beings to test the fittest against them. Those who would survive against his Horsemen would be worthy of Apocalypse’s attention. His first choice was an elderly Morlock woman named Plague. One of the few Morlocks willing to stand her ground during the Mutant Massacre[i], Plague was able to bring down the powerful Marauder named Sabretooth with her mutant abilities. Apocalypse took note of her, and broke the neck of Harpoon as he tried to skewer her, offering her a position as Pestilence, the first Horseman of Apocalypse. His second choice went to a man who had been long forgotten by his friends and country, Abraham “Lincoln” Kieros. After having been wounded in the Vietnam War, Abraham was forced into an iron lung, surviving only through the advancement of science. Apocalypse appeared to him and offered to rid Abraham of the iron prison he’s been placed in as War. The young Autumn Rolfson was chosen as the third Horseman, Famine. Her parents, ashamed that they had a mutant for a daughter, constantly scolded her. To make matters worse, she suffered from anorexia, despising food and what it causes people to do. Her parents attempted to force her to eat food before she had the be hospitalized again, which meant her grades slipping, but she simply disintegrated all the food offered to her. As she went to her room, she found Apocalypse, who offered her dominion over her parents and all others who would tease her. The fourth Horseman, Death, was Warren Worthington III. After having his wings destroyed by the Marauders and attempting suicide, he was rescued by Apocalypse, who gave him artificial wings, which could cause much destruction.

The three other Horsemen did not take to their new teammate Death, nor to each other. War despised Famine for her disobedience, and Famine hated War for his gluttony. They both hated Pestilence for her sheer insanity. Attempting to kill each other, Apocalypse decided to send them on a test run, a battle against X-Factor. While Death was being “reprogrammed” by Apocalypse, the three Horsemen demolished Manhattan, with only Beast, Iceman, and Caliban to stop them. Any ice slide formed by Iceman would be destroyed by War, and Beast was on a constant run from Pestilence, who vowed to touch him. Famine, unwilling to work with the other two, would turn the trees of the surrounding area to dust. Cyclops and Marvel Girl eventually showed up, attempting to blast War. However, his armor ricocheted his optic blasts, and Marvel Girl’s telekinesis was ineffective against their steeds. Pestilence succeeded in touching Beast, which brought him to eventual stupidity while increasing his strength immensely. The three Horsemen were defeated when Iceman overloaded with his ice powers, freezing the entire park and encasing the three Horsemen in ice. They were quickly teleported to safety by Apocalypse.

Apocalypse then ordered the Horsemen to battle each other to find out the leader. War suggested they all defeat Death and find the leader out of them later. They all attacked him, but Pestilence, then War, then Famine all met their defeat from Death, who was chosen as leader. Apocalypse then set his plan into motion, during [i]Fall of the Mutants. X-Factor was teleported inside and forced to battle the Horsemen. They were able to take out Famine, War, and Pestilence, but Death defeated the entire group. Apocalypse then sent the Horsemen out to destroy Manhattan. The Four Horsemen flew together as one, destroying anything in sight.

However, they eventually broke away from each other. Pestilence flew through the sewers, the only place she called home, and killed anyone she saw with her plague-filled touch. Famine, from above, would turn everyone she came across into living skeletons, absorbing the nutrients from their bodies. Cyclops and Marvel Girl, having fled Apocalypse’s ship to stop the Horsemen, split up. Marvel Girl attempted to convince Famine to stop what she was doing. Famine, however, felt Apocalypse loved her more than her parents ever could, and sucked the fat from Marvel Girl’s body. Just as Famine was about to realize what Marvel Girl was saying, she snapped back and ordered Apocalypse to allow her to destroy America’s grain fields since she defeated Marvel Girl. Apocalypse teleported her away from the fight, where she battled Captain America and his allies, Nomad, Falcon, and D-Man. After destroying several crops, she met her eventual defeat, and laughed as she teleported away once again. Meanwhile, Cyclops found War, who was destroying war monument statues. He felt the government should not waste its money on constructing statues, but should try to aid the fallen soldiers that they’ve forgotten about. War, just like Famine, felt he owed Apocalypse for giving him the ability to move again, and after his horse’s head was destroyed by Cyclops, he flew off. The young Power Pack kids found Pestilence, who was coming up from behind on Cyclops and Marvel Girl. During the battle, Pestilence was knocked from her horse, and despite the Power Pack attempting to save her, she was crushed by fallen debris from a building destroyed by Death. Cyclops and Marvel Girl used Pestilence’s horse to fly to Apocalypse’s ship. War, having made his way back, tried to kill Beast and Iceman, but failed. After Death came to his senses, War scoffed how Apocalypse chose him as leader, and tried to kill him, but was stopped by Iceman. Having been defeated, Apocalypse grabbed War and the new Hell Hound, Caliban, and flew off.

The Horsemen laid low for quite some time, but returned during X-Cutioner’s Song. Famine and War ambushed Colossus and Iceman, while the new Death, Caliban, kidnapped Jean Grey and Cyclops. During the battle, Famine attempted to absorb Colossus through his armored form, which caused her to feed off herself and turn her into a physical skeleton. War, enraged with what they had done to Famine, attacked with brute strength. Colossus compared him to Mikhail Rasputin, and as Famine recovered, the pair teleported away, realizing Caliban had done his job. The three delivered Cyclops and Jean Grey to Apocalypse, who turned out to be Mr. Sinister in disguise. The X-Men later sought out the Horsemen, and found Famine and Caliban. Famine sucked the life from Beast, but was defeated by Quicksilver, who was unaffected by her blight attack. War was subsequently found and defeated, and the three were delivered to the newly awoken Apocalypse.

Later, new Horsemen candidates were recruited, and the group became more of a plot device rather than the actual characters themselves. However, War appeared during The Twelve, having been tracked down by Archangel. In a hospital after Apocalypse’s had abandoned him, once again paralyzed and this time unable to speak at all, Abraham Kieros was given the gift of movement by Archangel’s mysterious new power. Abraham, overcome with hope, thanked Archangel. Famine, presumably, returned to Cleveland with her family. It is unknown what happened to Famine or War after Decimation.

Did You Know?: Famine was on the Honor Roll! And War, despite being in the Vietnam War, appears as quite young in his most recent appearance. Actually, I’d go so far to say he’s a hot cripple.

Agreed! I think all of them were just happy to have someone in their lives that seemed to care for them, since Autumn's parents made her miserable and treated her like a puppet, Abraham's country left him to rot without a second glance, and Plague was succeeding in taking out a good chunk of Marauders rather than just rolling over to die. It's nice to be noticed. <3

I really wish they'd use the actual characters again... someone at another forum said it was suspicious that Warren got those healing powers and then used it to heal Abraham... almost like Apocalypse wanted it to play out like that.

I did find it odd how Famine and War hated each other at first, yet when X-Cutioner's Song rolled around and Famine turned all skeletony after trying to use her blight on Colossus, War seemed to really care about her. And I find it lame that they wouldn't even be able to realize their Apocalypse is a fake, and the real Apocalypse wouldn't tell them he's in the Lazarus Chamber or whateva. In Fall of the Mutants and prior, the Horsemen were treated like Apocalypse's own X-Men and children, he nurtured them, yet he goes from that to not even telling them he's slumbering? Lame. Or bad writing. Either way, I loved War and Famine's redesigns for X-Cutioner's Song. Famine looked scaaaary.

I always liked when Apocalypse toasted champagne with them on Christmas, and that it would be the X-Men's last. That panel is hilariously campy.

But more to the point, it frustrates me to no end that someone supposedly deemed one of the strong fit to survive, like Pestilence/Plague, could be killed by being knocked off her own damned flying horse by a child. This was the first sign that maybe Apocalypse isn't the best judge of what makes a good Horseman. And certainly not the last.

Famine and War were too damned cool, though. Other than when the Hulk was set up to be War, I've never been impressed by any of the other incarnations. They just didn't fit, you know?

As far as I know, just Inhumans. Barrage could change the weapons back to regular arms, but now I don't know if he actually did it.

I believe it was that the majority, but not all of them were Inhumans further evolved and experimented on by Apocalypse and his Celestial tech. Psynapse was even named as the cousin of Medusa and Crystal.

X-Factor (1st series) #67 reveals the original Dark Riders (HardDrive, Gauntlet, Barrage, Foxbat, Psynapse, Tusk & Underlings) to be Inhumans, but in X-Men (2nd series) #14 they are called mutants, and later members were always referred to as mutants.

Jay, the third oldest of the Guthrie clan always grew up in the shadow of his older brother, Sam. When Sam and Paige moved away, he moved to daddy of his kajillion bro's and sis's. What the hell does his mother do, anyway? There's always a kid taking care of her kids... N.E.Wayz, before Jay grew his wings, he helped his brother Sam rescue Lila Cheney, Dazzler and a third band member from a plane crash. Lila had been knocked out. Dazzler had ran out of the sound needed to fuel her light based powers. Josh, risking his own safety, played some music, giving Dazzler enough fuel to help blast an escape route.

When he developed powers of his own, he hid them from his family, but took a page out of dazz's book, and used them as a stage gimmick. He soon got entangled with a hillbilly princess named Julia Cabot, who they decided to break the mold, and not breed with one of their cousins, and fell in love. This didn't set well with Daddy/Uncle Cabot. And he went to war with the Guthrie's/X-Men. This didn't go well, with Julia ending up dead, and Jay wishing he were dead.

A little while later, he joins the Xavier institute, and has a fling with a cuckoo. But that didn't last long. He later joins the Hellions squad, but not liking them, ends up joining the New Mutants squad after a botched escape attempt for Wither. He stays with the New Mutants, developing an attraction for Dust, when, dun dun dun...M-DAY HITS!! One of the few remaining mutants alive, he retardedly goes to Bill Stryker, an evil evangelist, and has his wings amputated because he thinks God will grant mutants back their powers. Cutting his wings off also stops his mutant healing power, but he refuses to allow Josh (Elixer) to heal him, because he's weird for some reason. He goes back to Stryker's place, and upon revealing his true plan, Stryker shoots Jay. Killing him. How sad:(

Poor Josef can't praise Icarus on his moment in the spotlight! Rough.

Well, Josh Guthrie is, hands down, my least favorite X-character, ever. Whereas I can at least make a joke about Surge not being able to take baths, or Feral's hilariously bad vocabulary, as she disembowels teammates to pass the time, they at least have some redeemable value for me, as being ridiculously poor team players.

But more than any character, ever, Icarus is the most counterproductive of Xavier's lot. He started out in what may have been a touching love story, that was a rip off of Romeo and Juliet... except that he lived, learning that somehow, his healing factor doesn't let him drown, or whatever. Oh, and said love story had him say nothing while his sister Paige effed a man twice her age in the sky above their mom.

Anyway, he's so hurt, wounded deep inside, that he's taken to Xavier's... where he immediately tries getting in the panties of one of Emma Frost's clones. At for the record, Mindee at least pegged him as a loser from the start, point for her.

So, then he hangs out with Squidboy, who shows him the ropes of the school, like he's a senior, or something. And where's Josh when Sammy Pare dies? Yep, back at the school, whining about the first dead girlfriend.

So, then Hellion recruits him, and the minute they try to do something productive, other than have Grabass with Sofia's squad (The pervy shot of him hovering outside Wind Dancer's window is a WTF moment), like save Wither from the FBI, what does Icarus do? Proves his wings qualify him as a stool pigeon, and he narcs to the teacher's staff.

Hellion boots him from his squad, and Icarus hangs around the school, being a classic "douchebag with a guitar" emo kid. And after M-Day, he got worse. Then he's on a kick saying God wanted all the kids depowered, and he decides that should include him. With the help of his #1 buddy Rev. Stryker, he went full emo, trying to rival X-23 as a cutter. He gets his wings amputated, and for some reason, he starts leaking crucial info about the depowered mutants to Stryker and the Purifiers.

Thus, RPG makes the bus go boom. Congratulations, ass, you just went and got 32 classmates whacked. You are dumber than dirt.

Oh, and your severed wings were full of fail, too. They didn't even have the stuff to make the Choir for X-Force to fight. Proving again, you are the poorest derivative of Warren Worthington imaginable.

And that's WBE's feelings about Icarus. He was one of the greatest threats to the X-Men... because they let him on the team.

Bio:
Shola is a Genoshan mutant who was attending university in Chicago. He was haunted by terrible dreams of his home country’s massive destruction. It turns out that Kitty Pryde was attending the same university and being plagued by anti-mutant hate mongers. Just as the building she is in is about to collapse due to an explosion caused by the student hate group, Shola shows up and stops the collapse with his telekinesis. He was then targeted by the Purity group and his apartment firebombed. He almost kills the hateful hooligans, but Kitty and Karma talk him out of it. They become fast friends and study partners after that. He works with them to defeat Purity and a batch of newly created fast adapting sentinels.

Eventually, Shola returns home to Genosha to help aid Professor Xavier and others in rebuilding his broken and abandoned homeland in the wake of Cassie Nova’s devastating sentinel attack. He forms a squad that was called “New” Excalibur, for no real reason. This was not the team that had Dazzler-Skrull on it. The team was sadly short lived.

When M-Day hit, Shola was depowered. He took it fairly in stride, but when Quicksilver showed up on Genosha, he exposed Shola and the other depowered members of the New Excalibur squad with Terrigen crystals. These crystals granted them some version of their old powers but were temporary and in some cases lethal. They all had their powers turned against them in some ways. Shola’s nightmares returned. It’s unclear whether or not they stayed with him or if they wore off like others who were exposed to the terrigen crystals.

I think he had a lot of potential with all the trauma he had to deal with. The groundwork was there, he just never had a chance to get his wheels spinning before the Decimation hit.

Honestly, I think I'd say Genoshan Excalibur had more good than bad, writing wise. The bad, being that everyone started turning up there, from Callisto, to Sugar Man and Dark Beast... it would be interesting to see how fast you can rebuild a nation with superpowers, in spite of a world that wants to exploit you, or kick you when you're down for being racist against you.

Shola could've been a huge part in that, as would the rest of the cast. But then problems started getting solved by this method: "This country needs a communications network. I know! There's a mutant whose power is to do it!" (Broadband) "This country needs an information office. I know! There's a mutant who's got that power! (Book).

Quick fixes. Way too quick. I mean, seeing the team, with Shola fixing dams, stopping Unus' gang from stealing food and resources, beating back the covert forces of other nations seeking to de-stabilize what they're building, and people potentially trying to corrupt whatever government Magneto & Xavier were building... whilst Shola just wanted his home back...

So close, yet so far.

I thought Shilo was pretty awesome too...I just finally picked up Mekanix recently and enjoyed his role in it. It's a shame they de-powered him. I felt he had a lot of great potential as a character as well within the X-verse. I imagine the reasoning behind de-powering him was because Hellion has a similiar powerset, and there was a lot of focus on pushing his character to the forefront in New X-Men at the time.

Is Icarus even D-List? He's a little below that I think. I couldn't stand the character and found his betrayal of the New X-Men extremely lame and out of the blue. Although I LOVE that he gave us the beautiful bus explosion and the death of Wallflower

Sabretooth then kills Epsilon Red’s pregnant wife. The kiddo that was born from her dead body (Fun!) was the fantastic lady known as Elena Ivanova.

Later, in the present, Elena Ivanova is searching for her mom’s killer. She’s got a total mad on for Sabretooth. She meets up with Maverick and the two agree to find and kill him dead. Unfortunately, Maverick was really sick and was dying from the Legacy Virus. Maverick actually succumbs to the disease and dies, but Elena uses her psi talent to bring him back to life and actually puts his disease into remission. After several adventures helping Maverick, Elena gets a lead on Sabretooth. It turns out to be a trap and she’s rescued again by Maverick. Elena was severely wounded by the scoundrel that is Sabretooth and falls into a coma.

I loved, loved, loved this character. The tragedy that befell even the circumstances of her birth. The fact that she had the stones to deal with Omega Red to even get close to someone just as, even if not more dangerous, in Sabretooth. Hell, how many women in the Marvel Universe would trudge through the old Morlock Tunnels looking for Creed?

Factor in the sexual tension she had with Maverick, and she was one of the neatest female characters that was just dropped off the face of the Marvel Universe. It would've been nice to see her at the Red Room in the Uncanny arc from #496-499, or maybe as one of the new Winter Guard that's been in Iron Man and Hulk the past few months. But yeah, she is an awesome forgotten telepathic treasure.

Any writer who needs a telepath who has some knowledge of black ops, or espianoge... use this gal. She's too good to be wasted. I don't care if it's a cameo in a Black Widow miniseries, and that's all... but work with what you've got, because she's got a lot of personality for someone obscure.

Couldn't agree more. I love Elana. She's definately a character who I think could possibly be quite fun to work with in the MU. Especially with all the focus on black-ops and espionage in the MU. Heck, stick her into X-Force. That'd be awesome to see. I wanna see more 'Red's' come out of that program.

This form can be either one large body, or the two brothers connected with two torsos and one set of legs. In this form, they have incredible strength, endurance, and stamina. Singularly, they also had the ability to project plasma bursts and flames from their hands.

Bio:
The Kleinstock Brothers are a pair of twins, formerly a set of triplets, who work for Magneto as members of the Acolytes. Ruthless and battle-hungry, the Kleinstocks first came in contact with the X-Men during a mission to retrieve a latent mutant child, alongside their teammates Cargill, Unuscione, and their third brother, Eric. Attacking a school while looking for the child, Eric is slain by Tom Corsi. The surviving brothers, Harlan and Sven, seemed apathetic towards their brother’s death. As they attempted to kill Tom Corsi, the X-Men appeared to rescue the young children. The Kleinstocks battled Bishop, and burned Archangel, who was flying above. Jean Grey, angered over the attack, telekinetically slams the two brothers together, which causes them to merge. The giant Kleinstock form attacked with plasma bursts. However, once the Acolytes discovered their target was a young boy with Down ’s syndrome, the Kleinstocks joined them in fleeing.

The brothers were next seen battling the X-Men once again, after the Neophyte’s betrayal. Bishop, having learned from their previous encounter, opted to blast the brothers apart so they weren’t given the opportunity to merge. They recovered, and held each other’s hands as they prepared to kill Nightcrawler and Archangel, although Colossus came to their rescue. They later participated in the murders of several innocent civilians, or as they called them, “flatscans,” at a nearby hospital. During the battle with X-Factor, the Kleinstocks merged and fought Havok, trying to reason with him by stating it would be better to kill the humans before they do to mutants what Hitler did to the Jews. Havok disagreed, grabbing the merged Kleinstock’s head and taking him out of the battle with an energy blast.

After learning of Fabian Cortez’s betrayal, the Kleinstocks were quick to demand death, as were the other Acolytes. However, they soon learned to follow orders from Exodus, who brought the Kleinstocks, among the Acolytes, to Avalon. They were next seen with the rest of the Acolytes, as they battled Omega Red. During the battle, one of the Kleinstocks were kidnapped, but they were later reunited. During the Neophyte’s trial, the Kleinstocks attacked Colossus as soon as he defended the boy, realizing he would soon turn on them.

The Kleinstocks were present when the mysterious being found in space was brought on to Avalon. As it is revealed to be Holocaust, the Kleinstocks end their battle with Cyclops in order to survive themselves, alongside Cargill, Unuscione, and Scanner. As Avalon was being destroyed by the battle of Exodus and Holocaust, the survivors found an escape pod, and thanks to Unuscione, were able to live through the journey back to Earth. Crash-landing in Australia, the Kleinstocks were skeptical of Cyclops’ leadership and reluctant to follow his demands, but eventually gave in as they worked together as a team to find help. Once they arrived at the X-Men’s former base in the Outback, the Kleinstocks and their fellow Acolytes were turned over to the authorities.

After the events of the Fall of Avalon, the Kleinstocks managed to return to where the space station crash-landed to Earth. Together with Scanner, Unuscione, Cargill, and several new Acolytes, the Kleinstocks worshipped the remains. Exodus, having returned from the battle with Holocaust, then begins to rebuild Avalon. The Acolytes discover Joseph, who turns out to be Magneto, as well as the thought-to-be-dead Fabian Cortez. Completely re-formed, the Acolytes attacked Wundagore Mountain. The Kleinstocks played a crucial role in the battle for Wundagore, serving as the right-hand men to Cortez and Exodus. However, after numerous failed battles with Quicksilver, one of which involves the brothers being shot, the Kleinstocks and the Acolytes band together with their enemies to fight the High Evolutionary.

Amelia Voght later separated the Acolytes into two divisions. The Kleinstocks are placed in Cortez’s ranks, and he orders his group to attack the X-Mansion. The X-Men swiftly defeat the Acolytes, who ask for refuge. Professor X rejected the Acolytes, who felt abandoned by Magneto. They later attacked Genosha, having their powers amplified by Fabian Cortez. The Kleinstocks battled Cargill, but were eventually tranquilized and taken into custody. It is unknown what happened to the Kleinstock Brothers after Decimation.

Did You Know?: The Kleinstock Brothers are from Switzerland, and are oh-so-incestuous! Harlan is the “bottom” of the brothers, always being positioned in front of Sven, who is the “top”, or behind Harlan.

I've been getting a few back issues of Maverick over the past few years and she was quite the interesting character.

It's good to hear that she's still alive.

Bio:
Lifeforce was recruited into the second incarnation of Apocalypse’s Dark Riders. Actually that’s a bit of a misnomer, since this version was more like Genesis’s Dark Riders. For those of you who didn’t read comics in the 90’s, Genesis was the foster son of Cable. Cable is the time tossed son of Scott Summers. It’s all very confusing. What you need to know is that Genesis was a brat.

This version of the Dark Riders, under Genesis’s direction, continued to go out to hunt down mutants to see if they were unworthy of survival. The first victim we see them hunting down is the former Dark Rider, Foxbat, who was an inhuman. Lifeforce kills him by draining him of his life energy. Lifeforce then joined the Dark Riders as they battled the X-men and Cable, but got her tush handed to her by Domino. She got beat down so bad that her fancy and fashionable visor got broke! What’s a girl to do!

Lifeforce was next seen alongside fellow Dark Riders, Hurricane and Spyne, breaking Cyber, a trashy Wolverine villain, out of prison. They brought Cyber back to Genesis and he promptly fed Cyber to flesh-eating beetles and melted down Cyber's adamantium carapace. The Dark Riders then set out and hunted down Wolverine and LORDY BE! Succeeded! This team full of D-List Suckers working for a brat of a mastermind, actually won some of the time! Genesis wanted to replace Apocalypse and thought that having Wolverine on his side would be a great firs step. He attempted to brainwash Logan AND re-bond Cyber’s adamantium to Wolvie’s skeleton. This was during the period that Wolverine had been stripped of his metal skeleton by Magneto. Well like all good master villain plans, this one went south in a hurry. Wolvie’s body and mind rejected both the brainwashing and the metal. This caused an explosion and causing adamantium shrapnel to kill the Dark Rider Hurricane and forcing the Dark Riders to scatter. Wolvie promptly killed several of the remaining. Genesis was instructing Lifeforce to take down Logan, when it was realized that she’d also been pierced by the shrapnel and our girl had died. Genesis was promptly killed by Logan. So at least there was that.

Bio: A member of the second incarnation of the Mutant Liberation Front, Locus was chosen by Reignfire himself. During a mission to kill Henry Peter Gyrich, Locus and Sunspot were teleported into outer space. They stayed there for quite some time, and Locus even learned the Kree language. Locus also grew attracted to Sunspot during their time together. After returning to Earth, she served with the MLF during a few more missions.

In their latest mission, Locus joined her teammates in searching for information on the Legacy Virus. However, Wildside, growing impatient with Locus, slapped her, which caused her to teleport away and leave the others to be imprisoned. Locus later tried to capture Sunspot once again, while he was visiting Skids in college. Her powers clashed with Skids, sending them to Latveria. There, they were captured by Pandemonia, but were rescued by X-Force.

A candidate for the Weapon X program, Locus was planned to be scouted onto the team. However, Sabretooth found her before other members of his team could, and killed Locus in cold blood. The others arrived to find her dead.

Did You Know?: Locus was constantly switching between being black and white. Who knows her true race? NOBODY.

Lois London is the second child of Katherine Blaire, and Katherine's only child with Nick Brown. Lois grew up in a household where her father, an alcoholic and drug addict, constantly abused Katherine even while Lois was present.

Eventually, Katherine -- a drug addict herself -- kicked her toxic habits, and left Nick Brown with Lois in tow. Lois then grew up with the new surname "London," as Katherine changed her identity to "Barbara London" to protect herself from her abusive ex-husband.

Lois grew up as a normal teen, as Katherine worked as a vocal coach to help put Lois through college.

While a student at State University, Lois received shocking! news! Her idol, the Dazzler, was actually her half-sister! Barbara had re-united with her first daughter while Lois was away. Eager to meet her sister, Lois returned to New York during her term break, and began to bond with the sister -- and star -- she never knew. To her surprise, Lois learned that Ali was a mutant with superhuman abilities.

Lois was in for a whirlwind of activity after that: the mutant TERRORIST Rogue was out for Dazzler's blood, and to get at Dazzler, Rogue stalked Lois back at her campus, and attacked her in her dorm room. Dazzler saved her sister from Rogue, but the event shook Lois greatly.

However, Lois soon discovered a shocking secret of her own: she, too, was a mutant! After suffering from headaches and fainting spells, Lois decided to leave one of the Dazzler's concerts early. While walking home alone, she was accosted by a hobo and was sexually assaulted. During this attack, Lois's hand started emanating a strange energy, and when pushing the hobo away, he fell down, dead.

Lois ran to her sister for assistance, and fled with the Dazzler to avoid the scene of the crime and the authorities.

While chilling in a motel room as Dazzler ran out for some food, Lois played with the manager's cat. The cat SCRATCHED Lois, and Lois killed the creature in a fit of rage! Her strange glowing energy killed the lil' kitty. Dazzler then had to take the murderous Lois away from this place, too.

One night, Lois was shocked! as she and Dazzler received photos under their room door -- photos of Lois killing the hobo in New York! The stalker blackmailed Lois and Dazzler into killing a man in exchange for Lois' safety.

Lois and Dazzler attempted to go through with the plan, until after a shocking twist of events, they realized this potential victim was really Lois's father: Nick Brown!

Nick offered Lois and Dazzler safety in his huge West Coast mansion. Lois, wanting safety and comfort, decided to stay with her abusive father, as Dazzler walked off in disgust. Lois has not been heard from since!
