Damn straight I am, why I may have to loot the junk and candy shelves they keep around the registers! And I may even liberate a big cookie from the coffee shop!

I kept to tradition. Drink beer and refuse to go outdoors.
3500. Took long enough.

Damn, I liked picturing you flying into the blue-rinse hair of little old ladies that try to snatch
bargains away.

Get family up at 4:15 am. Maybe the last year without a riot from the kid.
Arrive at Wal*Mart at 4:30, parking lot is 95% full. Aisles are crammed. I needed a $29 bicycle for my tree angel kid. My wife only lets me get it if I get my own kid a bike, too. So I get two as soon as the crowds attack (about 4:50). With the crowds and lack of signs, I don't realize until checkouts that I grabbed two $50 bikes. Sgh...
We also grab $10 deluxe Monopoly for the tree angle and some dolls for a niece. I need to get the $8 vacuum for my wife, but the crowd's so dense that I tell my wife to take the cart and meet me at the clothes.
I don't see my family for an hour. They and I both slowly get to the clothes, but never end up in the same section of clothes. This despite my paging her and calling her celphone. I picked up various DVDs for $2-$8 and some clothing.
Eventually, we also get clothes for the tree angle kid.
6:00. We are standing in line for checkout. I've already missed Staples' opening. The checkout lines are extremely long, going deep into the clothing section. 15 mnutes later, I send myself to Walgreen's while my wife and kid waited in line.
6:20. Walgreen's sale starts at 7. The parking lot is 20% full, so I pull in the spot closest to the lot exit. I get inside and have all but the camcorder in my cart (I have to wait at the photo counter to get that). I wait from 6:45-7:00. The line from the front reaches o the photocounter by the time the registers start at 7. The photo counter lady rings up my entire purchase, and I'm out of the store by 7:05.
7:10. Return to Wal*Mart. Lot so empty that I find a spot next to handicapped. I check McDonald's...no family. I circle around to end of checkout lines and find them. They were suprised to see me. We checkout and load up the car by 8.
After a quick trip to unload the car at home...
8:15 Staples. What the heck, we'll give it a try. Only wanted the $100 moniter and cheap SD card. Suprsingly to me, we find both.
After breakfast at McD's, we hit Best Buy (where people camp in tents every Black Friday!). I find a cheap Wii game for my brother (birthday is tomorrow!). My wife and I decide to get my kid a Nintedo DS. I distract my kid by playing Wii Mario Kart with her...
Next stop: MC Sports. The kid and I need ski goggles. I also need ski pants, but they have none in my size. Can't complain as the nearest ski area is 3 hours away....
Quick trip to Barnes and Noble to get the tree angel kid a graphic novel. They have one recommended at cbr.cc. Wife blows up at me for this $7 extra. There's only so much spending before she loses her cool. But we work it out (lunch will be on me).
Next up: Town's only mall. Sears gets us some tools for father-in-law. KayB, I get cheap DS games for wife and child. JCPenny gets clothes for my nephew and nieces (just before door buster prices stop at 1!). We also get the last free snow globe. We get interviewed on camera for 3 $10 prepaid credit cards for a future mall commercial.
1:15ish we have lunch at Steak & Shake and then head home.
Nap at 3-5...
