I don't believe these guys have a thread yet dedicated to them on CBR. But hell they deserve one. I gotta admit I loved "Sam's Town" and will be getting "Day and Age" soon. (Actually I love the Sawdust version of Sam's Town best)

I have jammed to "Human" off the album and soon will get it as an album. Anyone seen the video on Youtube ? If not....well heres a video of em.

Flowers dude....where the fuck is the porno mustache ? Thats my only complaint man !

Anyhow who here is big Killers fans ? I'm sure some on CBR love this band so lets hear it . Its kinda cool to see that they are pretty damn big over in the UK. And having Sir Paul McCartney sneak backstage to see em.

Well, I think you need to ask yourself the important question "Are we Human...or are we dancer?" SUPERECWFAN1.

But yeah, I like the Killers a lot. I've been into 'em since "Somebody Told Me" came out in 2004. My favourite album of there's is still Hot Fuss though, although Sam's Town is also really good. I haven't got the new album yet but I will be getting it before long.

What I loved about Hot Fuss (and what's been lacking from their music since then) is the Anglo-centric influence. I thought it was really cool to have a U.S. band trying to sound like a British band...instead of the other way around, which is how it normally goes.

I am a fan of the Killers. I think Sam's Town is a wonderful CD, much better than their debut. Ive only heard one song from their new CD.

If I'm not mistaken the Killers & the Bravery had a bit of a fued w/ trash talk concerning each other's 1st Cd, calling each other copycats. Anyone else remember this? Or am I mistaken?

Personally I like a few Bravery songs much more than anything the Killers have put out, but I feel the Killers have put forth a much more consistent effort as far as a album as a whole is concerned.

Just my 2 cents tho.

I really liked both Hot Fuss and Sam's Town.

I'm sort of baffled by the idea that they deserve their own discussion thread, though.

Bob, the Beatles, the Stones, GnR ... and the Killers?

Yeah it seems pretty strange there isnt a Springsteen thread or even a U2 thread. But whatever, I do like the band.

P.S I am thinking of starting a Snow Patrol thread. Arent they as much relevant as the Kilers? Sarcasm anyone? C'mon throw me a freakin bone!

Hey I admit I really became a fan with the "Tranqquilize" off Sawdust album. And then Axl seemed to give them the whole "Main Event" rub by coming out and introducing them at the MTV Music Awards. It was the 1st time he ever did that...and it seemed to be a passing of the "cool" torch.

If anyone wants they can do a U2 thread or Springsteen one. It shocks me no one has started a U2 thread. The guys make some good albums and I know a few of us on CBR discuss their music at times....

Yeah! Why aren't we all erecting a massive shrine to the Hold Steady and worshiping Craig Finn as a GOD?

That said, I enjoyed "Mr. Brightside" for the well executed, cod-80s Brit art-pop pop that it was. That said I know little about the band. What can anyone tell me about them?

(And Brandon Flowers looked better without the pornstar moustache.)

The Killers are on SNL tonight.... right now the group is performing "Human" . I love Flowers performance acting all scared and shy to start it. Then he gets braver as the song goes....nice.
