I have this idea for a Spider-Man/Jean DeWolff fan fiction kicking around in my head. A plot point for same hinges on Peter Parker having known Jean in his civilian identity, not as Spider-Man. The problem is, I can't actually recall any specific meeting between them in the comics. I'd kind of like to be able to reference an actual meeting if at all possible. Now, the funeral scene in Spectacular Spider-Man #108 seems to imply that Spidey knew Jean personally as Peter Parker (he attended her graveside service as a mourner, not as a photographer, and no one objected to his presence in any way, or expressed surprise at him being there), but perhaps I'm reading too much into that. I know only that they were in a court-room together at one time (in Marvel Team-Up #51), but they didn't actually speak in that issue, at least not on-panel. Does anyone know of an issue in which they met and spoke? It's just one of them little details that's been nagging at me, and that I'm curious about.

In comics you can rarely read too much into something. One of the great joys of being a comic writer has to be finding obscure, throwaway moments and giving them life.
Run with it.

I figure with all his crime scene pix he must have at least met her as parker.

As long as they never say that he didn't meet her, you should be fine.

Hope you show it to us when you're done.
