I have no clue who that is but from that picture she does not seem to possess the graceful balance of sexiness and power/confidence that Kidman so elegantly exudes.

Every actress I think of for the part always hits that "she's to old" point in the eyes of WB execs.
By now I'm just hoping for a virtual unknown, rather than a Hollywood name that I don't think fits the part. :frown:

All I know is they need Catwoman to be hot. Or at least sexy. So far they're 0 for 2 on casting sexy actress's opposite bruce. I'm not saying Katie holmes isn't hot because she is... but not in Begins. And Maggie looked like a fetus most of her scenes.

That's an old picture of her. She's older now and she's also a former Penthouse Pet. I can't see WB getting enthused about that.

I love Nicole Kidman, she's one of my favourite actresses. But she's too old, not to mention the fact that she has the baggage of Batman Forever. I would love to see Nicole as the next 'Bond Girl'. She really belongs in a Bond film alongside Daniel Craig.

I heard somewhere that Rhona Mitra was being considered but I don't know how valid that would be.

I don't think they would want to reuse any actress from the old Burton series.

Kidman is only 5-10 or so years older than Bale but I suppose in Hollywood terms that could be a lot.

Personally I'm fine was Jolie as Catwoman. She's the first actress that comes to mind that would fit the role, and I don't get the logic on why her being a obvious pick would be a bad thing. She's played somewhat similar roles in the past, we know she could handle the physically/action of the role, and her emulating Selina's appearance and sex appeal is a no brainer.

Kidman isn't athletic enough to be a Catwoman. She's only got sex appeal, but she's a little too old to play the part I think. Not too old as a woman, too old as Catwoman. I mean if she really looked the way she does in the pic then yes, but she doesn't look that way anymore. She's aged alittle. Plus she's been in a Batman movie already as has been mentioned before. I think the WB is trying to distance themselves from the former Batman movies to adapt a new image via the Nolanverse. I also imagine Nolan would want to keep his work his own by distancing it from the work of other previous Batman directors.

Jolie is OK, except she doesn't strike me as a Catwoman type. She's more like Talia-Al-Ghul. Also, her figure doesn't conform to what I typically imagine Catwoman should be like. But she is certainly a capable actress.

I think Tricia is perfect because she's a smart actress. You see this in her ability to play the various personalities of the numberThree model Cylons of BSG. Each version of the model is so unique. You almost are fooled into believing they are each separate individuals. This is a trait which is great for someone who plays a role which requires that they have a secret identity. Her work in BSG also proves she takes her work seriously and is able to deliver a great performance. In addition to being smart she's sexy. Sultry is no problem for her. She's not afraid to be sexy. And from her fight scenes in BSG you see she can perform a believable fight scene if need be.

Well she was in Get Smart which was comedy/action and a film called Havoc which had a bit of action too. Shes done kids stuff (princess diaries) drama (brokeback mountain) period (some dickens stuff and she was Jane Austen). I don't see any reason why she wouldn't make a good Selina Kyle
