Hi! I remember really being impressed by a dark-type comic, virtually book length, and I'd like to identify it. It was called something like "Heroes" or "Superheroes", and it came out, I recall, at about the same time as Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, which would put it around 1986.
Some details: It had one real superhero, Mr. Jupiter, who could control his own atomic structure or anything else too. There were others of the non-super type: The Chameleon, the Owl, Rohrshach, and more. In the world of the story, something called "Pirate Comics" were very popular, and they were really grim. The book included one such Pirate Comic story. Mr. Jupiter's incredible power has locked the world into an unnatural and unstable political stalemate...
I remember a lot more details, but I expect that's enough if anyone remembers it at all. If anyone could help, thanks.
