I'm just wondering if there is a JLA graphic novel which features superman as the main/best hero out of them or simply just focuses mainly on superman.

Batman has JLA: Tower of Babel
Wonder woman has JLA: A league of one

does supes have any?

None come off the top of my head.

Though quite often the JLA act as supporting cast members in the Superman books... As such most JLA-type stories (if not all) starring Superman occur in the Superman books....

The only stories where Superman is more of a main focus are "Rock Of Ages", "American Dreams", "The Lightning Saga", "DC 1 Million", "Pain Of The Gods" and the first half of "Justice League Elite".

-"Rock Of Ages" because half of the story focuses on Lex Luthor leading the Injustice League against the JLA, because Superman was involved again. The other half focuses on Flash, Green Lantern and Aquaman when they go through to the far future and then on their way back, see a future Earth that's been taken over by Darkseid.

-"American Dreams" mostly features Superman in a starring role. In issue #5, he takes center stage alongside Tomorrow Woman. And in issue #7, we see Clark do some creative feats with his energy powers.

-"The Lightning Saga" is by and large a JLA, JSA and Legion story, but Superman has a few moments where he is more involved than others.

-"JLA 1 Million" has the JLA going into the 853rd century to witness the return of Superman and the story focuses on the aspect of a dynasty of Supermen throughout the ages.

-"Justice League Elite" collects Action Comics #775 which introduces the Elite and focuses on Superman's morals. Then it collects JLA #100, which is also a Superman centric tale and invovles the Elite. The rest of the story focuses on the Elite and the Flash in particular. Superman appears throughout, but isn't the main focus.

-"Pain Of The Gods" is a bit Superman centric.

There is also "Our Worlds At War" which is a Superman crossover that features much of the DCU.

That one trumps everything else , you have the entire JLA all helpless and trounced by one stupid imperiex probe , superman flies through them with comsumate ease.

Not to mention , the OWAW aftermath one shot where superman beat darkseid to a pulp. Woo-hoo !

There's also panic in the sky , Emperor Joker , King of the world.

Yeah, but those are all Superman titles. "Our Worlds At War" was a Superman crossover, but one-shots and a couple of the main series of other books were involved. SuperTommyMan was refering to JLA books and the like.

I'd include JLA Superpower; the book where Anteus joins. GL (Kyle) is the POV character, but Supes has great moments in that 1. He also does well in the Trading Bodies 1 shot by Abnett and Lanning that came out around that time. If we count JLA stories in the Superman books, there's also Panic in the Sky, the Death and Return of Superman, Millenium Giants, B13, Emperor Joker, and Dominous stories.
Also there's JLA: The Nail and Kingdom Come.

IIRC Foreign Bodies is by someone with a name roughly like Strazewski - not Abnett/Lanning

Thanks for all the suggestions
I never read Our Worlds at War, I found the book rather unattractive. Too thick with bad quality paper. The art is a little too bubbly for my taste too haha. The story I've been told was only decent..not too horrible but not too good.

I've read JLA: Another Nail, didnt quite like the story line.

and Kingdom Come, in my opinion one of the best storys ever written lol don't like the new follow up they're doing right now in the JSA story. Thought it was better if they left it as a legend. but something like kingdom come is definitely what I'm looking for.

Everyone dying but superman comes in and saves the day. cheesy? maybe but still good lol

What happens is that almost all of the world's male population is dead and Clark is one of the few men still alive, due to his powers and biology.

Is the story worth reading?
I like how it features Superman as the main character.

ah yes - I always get Strazewski and Kaminski mixed up. I know one of the two is a terrible writer.
