Just something I had on my mind and then I noticed there are some other Top 10 threads formed. If this type of thread has already been passed around, then let it die a quick death. Otherwise, have at it.

In no particular order:

1. White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane (just some of the best rock vocals in a song ever. Ever).
2. Good Vibrations - Beach Boys
3. Kashmir - Led Zeppelin
4. Since You Been Gone - The Cars
5. Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
6. Mother - Pink Floyd
7. While My Guitar Gently Weeps - The Beatles
8. Foolin' - Def Leppard
9. Panama - Van Halen
10. You Got Lucky - Tom Petty

Define "Rock."I'd say just go with your gut on this one.

Then we can argue afterwards about what's rock and what isn't.

Arguing what's rock and what isn't is like arguing religion & politics. Endless debate w/ no clear winners.

That's enough ground rules for me. Everyone's definition is a little bit different. I'm a little more mainstream than others on the board but throw out whatever; it's your top 10.

I don't wanna offend you...but Top 10 "Rock" songs? Do you honestly think someone can up with a top 10 list of this? "Rock" has to be one of the most flexible, vague, terms ever... in music, culture, etc... TO ask people to come up with a top 10 is, quite frankly ridiculous.

"Rock" has to be one of the most flexible, vague, terms ever... in music, culture, etc...Right. So pick your own criteria and make a list.

Good, no great criteria! Now, how can I follow that w/o being a copycat? I must abstain.

I don't think I can possibly pick 10 songs without doing a disservice to at least 100 others.
