The US election has made me think about the manga, 'Eagle: The Making of An Asian American President". It's one of the best series that I have ever read. I found it very engrossing, complex intelligent with fully developed characters.

Can anyone give me some titles that I might enjoy? For your reference I like:

-Crying Freeman
-Sanctuary

I also like the animes:

-Death Note
-Silent Service

Wow. You actually found Sanctuary? Well, another story by the same artist is Strain, about an assasin. Then there's Offered by the same artist (and the author of Lone Wolf and Cub and Crying Freeman) which is a bit more pulpy.

If you care for cyberpunk, Ghost in the Shell is pretty neat. It's got political overtones. I think the anime goes into that more actually. There's also Eden- It's An Endless World by Hiroki Endo. A bit more in the fighting genre, but also with sociopolitical overtones is the cyberpunk epic Battle Angel Alita. Antoher favorite.
