Led Zeppelin might have put out some ridiculous and annoying music, but they never did a nearly 20-minute cover of "Spoonful," either.
Both bands are good but overrated.

I cannot see a Zeppelin reunion sans Plant being any good.
That said I listen to Zeppelin far more than Cream. Even got rid of D'Israeli gears because I hardly ever listen to it.

That should be grounds for re-instating caning.

Yeah. But you know what just struck me? I wonder why John Paul Jones is even bothering. I've read numerous comments from Jones implying that he didn't think Zeppelin was all that special.

 Holy shit! I never even thought about Led Zeppelin with Steven Tyler singing. Hmm... that would certainly not be Led Zeppelin, but it would be a hell of a show.
Plant's reluctance is disappointing.
And Led Zeppelin were not crap. Jack Bruce probably has some pent up issues from the old days that we aren't aware of? I like both bands, personally, but prefer Zep.

1. He's a funny man.
2. The photo in the article... That's definitely NOT Jack Bruce...

He's already come out saying he was joking when he said it.

No, but they did release an 11 minute version of "In My Time of Dying."

I've actually never liked Cream.
Also, Jimmy Page>>>>>Eric Clapton. For real.

Also, Jimmy Page>>>>>Eric Clapton. For real.I still think Disraeli Gears is an all time classic, and an album I can listen to all the way through, even after all these years. Never been too fond of their excursions into straight American blues, or reproductions thereof. They were much more successful artistically when they brought a wider range of influences to bear and came up with something unique to themselves. I think Disraeli Gears is the best sustained example of that, plus a few isolated songs like White Room.

From my listening, "Badge" is the best Cream song.
