This might be fun. I'm sure most of you are like me, and love making mix tapes (or CDs or playlists or whatever).

So I'm going to start a series of threads for hypothetical mixes for each decade. About 22-24 songs, and I'm going to do mine as a tape (because I like the progression of having two sides...something that kind of got lost when vinyl was transferred to CD--think of The Stooges Fun House).

So, you can post yours as well...basically, just pretend some dude who never really listened to much music before asked you to make him a mix for each othe given decades. Could be fun, right? Showing everyone what you would put on each tape?

The 70's--Side 1:
1. The Stooges- 1970
2. Alice Cooper- Teenage Lament '74
3. KISS- Strutter
4. Starz- Detroit Girls
5. Iron Virgin- Rebel Rule
6. Bay City Rollers- Too Young to Rock N' Roll
7. MC5- Gotta Keep Movin'
8. The Dictators- Baby, Let's Twist
9. Mott the Hoople- Sucker
10. David Bowie- Black Country Rock
11. T. Rex- Girl in the Thunderbolt Suit
12. Johnny Thunders- Eve of Destruction

The 70's--Side 2
1. Black Sabbath- Sweet Leaf
2. Ace Frehley- Rip It Out
3. X-Ray Spex- Germ Free Adolecents
4. DMZ- Cinderella
5. Zolar X- Timeless
6. The Boys- First Time
7. The Undertones- Get Over You
8. Hammersmith Gorillas- You Really Got Me
9. Trevor White- Crazy Kids
10. The Dogs- Shakin' All Over
11. Dead Boys- 3rd Generation Nation
12. The Ramones- End of the Century (came out in 1980, but screw it..caps it off so nicely)
