Okay, so Justice League of America shows that Anansi thinks it's him. However, the Queen of Fables seems to have some story-mojo of her own, as evidenced by her recent appearance in Wonder Woman. And then there's Brother Grimm, who I don't know much about but seems to also have some considerable story-related powers.

It would be interesting to get all three of these characters into the same place.

It's Morpheus, the Sandman aka Dream of The Endless. All others pale in comparison.

Someday, I'm going to have to read that series. The thing is, I don't really want to buy it.

I wonder if any of the local libraries have it.

I'm sure you can find the trades in them, but once you read the first one, I'm sure you'll want to own them all.

Not unless I get another bookcase to store them all in.

If you mean the Brother Grimm from Flash: Wonderland (http://www.hyperborea.org/flash/brother-grimm.html), he doesn't have any particular story-related powers, just standard magic from a medieval fantasy-style dimension. If you mean another Brother Grimm, I don't know.

Oh, okay. You'd think he would, with a name like that. So, we've eliminated one contender.

Priorities, man!

Look, I've got a lot on my plate and a lot of back-reading to catch up on already.

And for the record, three local libraries have the first TPB and they're all checked out.

Dude. If you're the sort of guy who asks that opening question, you're the sorta guy who's gonna want to buy a bookcase for his new Sandman collection.

I asked the question because a few weeks ago I read an issue of Wonder Woman in which the Queen of Fables was boasting about her power of stories and a week or two before that I read an issue of JLA in which Anansi is going on and on about how all stories belong to him.

So, specifically as an amateur storyteller and folklore enthusiast (the Queen being from European folklore and Anansi being from West African folklore), I thought it was an interesting question regarding the DC Universe.

Besides, I have no place to put another bookshelf. And there's nothing wrong with wanting to use the resources at your local library (I should note that I'm also in graduate school studying library science).

The correct answer is: Ambush Bug pretending to be Dan Didio.

Oh hell no. I just suspect that an amateur storyteller and folklore enthusiast is going to REALLY enjoy Sandman.

I think we're talking about Stan Lee, but I don't understand what he has to do with DC comics.

He said 'evil', so I must say Dan Didio at this point and time.
