Has anyone else read these two issues? I liked them very much, thought they spiced things up a bit. I really like the fact that the Joker and Barbara have another encounter and that at first he doesn't recognize her. Can't wait til issue #124. I really wanna see what he has planned for her and if she will be ready for her. Also Misfit is growing on me. Her powers are cool and not completely tapped into. But she is becoming a better hero. And i like the fact that she's in school. She's kinda like Oracle's Tim Drake but she still has alot to learn. Did anyone else like these issues?

Hey I thought that was pretty cool too - the fact that they have another encounter and the Joker doesn't recognize her! I'm into Misfit too by the way - the fact that she's at school is appealing in a super hero.

Me too. I know Tony Bedard inherited this set-up, but we need to get the hell out of here as soon as possible, because an "evil Silicon Valley" is as boring as boring gets. Let's go back to Gotham, kids.

I really enjoyed the Babs/Joker interaction last book. I've been bored by the Synidcate stuff myself. No one, not Johns, Morrison, could make that interesting. I can't believe DC thought it would be. I can't believe who ever pitched this idea thought it was interesting. Once again DC handicaps a good writer like Bedard. I agree it's time to get the heck up out of Platnium Flatts and get the Birds back closer to there roots and letting great and strong characters like Oracle, Huntress, and Lady Blackhawk shine. Plus it needs an artist who can draw.

I thought that what was going to happen was there was going to be some mob type people behind all the silicon valley shenanigans but they turned out to be a bunch of losers who started pseudo fictional websites and it just screams dumb to me.
And i'm not crazy about the art compared to Nicola who could draw rings around this person.
I just read #123 and found it to be an incredible bait & switch.
Cover to 123: The Joker finally confronts Oracle!!
Next Issue Preview Box: The Joker finally confronts Oracle!! (for real this time)
Art has really taken a turn for the worse lately, I miss Nicola Scott.
It's also kind of annoying how there's multiple Jokers running around DC right now - you have Organized Crime Joker in this book, 70's Crazy Deathtrap Joker in Detective Comics, and Symbol of Insanity Psycho Joker in Morrison's Batman.

Ditto!
Bedard's run has really soured me on the book, that I've been collecting since its inception. The stories have become awful and the artwork even worse.
I'm done w/the next issue...

I hope it gets better cuz Oracle and the Birds of Prey have lots of potential.

I left when Gail left but because of the good word of some folks here plus the Joker showing up I got the last few issues and I have to say I thought they were pretty good.

Maybe we can get Devin Grayson on? i haven't read much of her stuff and i'm not sure if she can write strong females but i can't think of any other DC writers who could or would make this book a priority.

I'm really enjoying these Bedard issues and I love that they're not in Gotham anymore. Putting them back in Gotham would make them Just Another Bat Book, which I'm entirely uninterested in.

Read her run on Nightwing and then see if you still feel that way.

No.
Dixon>Tomasi>Wolfman>Grayson>Jones. For Nightwing Writers.
I don't know why Grayson wasn't so good on Nightwing. She did a great job on Gotham Knights.

why is it that a guy who's an open conservative can write better females than a young bi- sexual girl:confused:
Now i'm wondering why i wanted her on Bop in the first place:confused:
