I've enjoyed many of the alternate Storms, but Bloodstorm is #1 for me. As if Storm couldn't be better, they gave her vampire powers! Mutant X was a great title(at least for the first 13 issues), I really liked the designs for Fallen and Brute too.

Even though I don't really like or read Ultimate X-men (unless from the library in TPBs), I liked Storm's character the most, especially after beast's supposed death. She really grew up and matured and her hair rocked too :smile:

Is regular Storm an option? I prefer my storm in x-books, with powers, non punk-rockified. If she isn't an option, I'll go with AoA Storm, it's close enough.

Ultimate Storm lacked the strenght and majestic feel that Ororo has, she was a common thug that had no personality whatsoever

I actually disagree. I really liked Ult storm early on. I think she was a fresh take on my favorite character as someone who was unsure in herself and her abilities. It was cool to see her learn what she was capable of and still become a central part of the story.

her characterization fell off toward the middle of the series but i think everyone else suffered as well because of all the writer and story changes... It was sad bit i still think she started off ok...I liked the goth breakdown too visually she was cool.

I could do without the majesticness, I like seeing her a little more down to Earth, but I understand that it's not really the same Storm, and it's kind of hard to compare them. Just because people didn't worship her as a goddess, doesn't mean there wasn't personality. Very different character though, definitely. Same powers and same name, not a whole lot else.

I didn't like Ultimate Ororo either. And it was her personality that made it so. I really wanted to like her, Millar's early stuff with them was so cool, but he just didn't get anything going with is Ororo.

She was some sort of car thief, they never said where she was from or what happened to her family, and she was an airhead, all bubbly and wanting to watch crappy movies and look hot for the boys. It was a very superficial Ororo.

I would have preferred the Bendis version, which was like 'urban bohemian' Ororo, slam poet with super powers. White haired Erykah Badu or Lauryn Hill with a neo-pagen twist.

I can understand people wanting a more 'relateable' personality, but taking someone like Storm and dialing them back to airhead pop tart car thief is throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Mohawk Storm. Loved her. Yes she's 616 but this was her at her best. She lost the cape, the powers, but increased in skill attitude and depth.

You guys have to understand...Halle is a diabetic...and diabetics have a tendency to develop glaucoma...so she has to be careful putting stuff in her eyes. I believe that was the reason she didn't where the blue contacts nor the white contacts for the x-films....

Eh, I just didn't like her as Storm honestly. Her character shifted a lot throughout the three movies. I've never really enjoyed her acting though, so I wasn't expecting much from her.

The reason why i voted for Bloodstorm is because she is more interesting than the other versions that she has her own profile set apart from 616 Storm. She may not be the most powerful among all versions but she has outshone each one of them with her bad-ass look and trendy jacket.

My second alternate Storm version would be Shower, that cute little Oror Munroe.",)

I voted Ultimate. While I love Thor-Storm and especially Limbo-Storm, I can't see either of them as an "alternate" Ororo. They both are Ororo, in every facet that counts (probably because they were both created by Chris Claremont :smile:)

Ultimate Storm, on the other hand, is totally another person and, while I wouldn't want to trade the original for her, it was nice to see someone with the same basic configuration turn out so differently. She may have started out as an air-head car thief, but she had a lot of character development during the book. I loved her rocky relationship with Beast (Miller), her talk with Angel after he ran off (Bendis), her goth phase in coping with Beast's death and her sort-of affair with Wolverine (Vaughan). When she talked Rogue into not killing Sinister you could see how far she had come. She's in fact the only Ultimate character I still have any interest in after Ultimatum. Of course, she hasn't appeared anywhere since :mad:.
