I want to know which artist draws your favorite Storm, and I want to know why! Photographic evidence is encouraged!
OK, mine is Olivier Coipel. For me, he really gets Storm and really captures the spirit of Cockrum's design. His Storm has elegance, grace, power, and beauty, and she just exudes authority. His Storm is truly fierce and fabulous.

I voted for Dave Cockrum and Byrne, because Cockrum was the one to design her unique look, and Byrne just gave it a smudge of his own flavour.
Romita Jr. and Silvestri did a great job drawing her during her darker time. They intensified the look that much more after it had first been introduced by Paul Smith.

I have quite a few favorites. I love JRJr's rendition of Mo'Storm. Andy and Adam Kubert drew a lovely Storm, imo. I love, love, love Bachalo's Storm, as well as Pollina's. Pacheco drew a GODDESS of a Storm.
WTF??? You have Coipel and Bianchi, but no Pacheco? This poll has FAIL. written all over it.

The answer is always Bachalo. Unless it's Ramos. But it's not Ramos in this case. Because it's Bachalo.

Stop antagonizing me! I wanted to include JRJr, Pacheco, Joe Mad, and the Kuberts, but there are only so many options! Bianchi made it because he is current and controversial. Coipel made it because he's my favorite, obviously.

Byrne, Smith, Silvestri, Eaton, and Windsor-Smith. Most artists draw a nice Storm, though I'm not fond of Cockrum or Bianchi with his crazy designs.

Smith, JRJR, Silvestri, Bachalo, Pacheco, Davis & BWS all rank pretty high on my list too. But Coipel is perfect. <3 <3

I must confess to not understanding the love of Bachalo's Storm. She looks like all of his other female characters but with dark skin and white hair. If he sketched her in street clothes or in the nude without any color, she could be anybody. Artists like Coipel, Silvestri, Cockrum, Byrne, Davis, and Smith have a very distinct Storm--one that is immediately recognizable.
This is why I asked why you love certain interpretations! What makes Bachalo's Storm so special? Let us know!

edit: more seriously, I think her scenes in Messiah Complex under Bachalo were stunning. I agree, she's not extreme;y distinctive feature wise (none of Bachalo's characters are) but the visual was still amazing.

It is near impossible to find pictures of Bachalo-drawn Storm. Here is one, however, for I am a master of the impossible:

I like this Storm because she looks incredibly pissed off all the time. Bachalo draws the best angry-Ororo you'll see.

Bachalo draws the best angry-Ororo you'll see.I was just thinking about Bachalo's Storm, and I remembered his earlier style (as in the picture you posted) and the later stories he drew (2006), and I think it's especially in his later artwork that Storm's face can't be distinguished from other faces (like Psylocke's); I prefer how he drew Storm in the late '90s.

I do really like Larocca's Storm, but I HATED her X-Treme outfit he designed. The look got better with Jean's dreads though.

Bachalo can be really hit or miss. At his best he is brilliant, detailed and with dynamic poses, at his worst his art can barely pass the mediocre label.
Part of that is the inker but you can often spot where he had to rush things or didn't put in 100%.

A lot of people don't seem to be very fond of the Jim Lee design, which amazes me. I pick Silvestri overall but for the longest time Jim Lee's storm was the only Storm I knew.
You know what? Yu also does a great Storm.

Oh LAWD! There's so many of them that I like. I don't believe I can pick a favorite though. I love Scot Eaton's interpretation of her. I also like Silvestri's, Coipel, Bachalo, Art Adams, Adam Hughes, David Yardin, and Alan Davis's Storms as well. Oh yeah, and Salvador Larroca's Storm! And also the new guy, Diogenes Neves.
Oops, almost forgot Mike Deodato Jr!

LOL...I think the impossibly elongated and anorexic torso is horrible. The coloring's nice.
Anyway, Paul Smith. Yeah, he should be everyone's fave.

I'm going to have to go with Olivier Coipel as well. He really captured the look of Storm in those issues of Uncanny X-men. That was probably the one thing that stuck out for me in that arc.

Cockrum and Byrne had a similar style and a similar Storm. I didn't have room for everybody, so I put those two together to make a little more.

I always thought Pacheco's Storm ROCKS!...the gold accessories, her long flowing hair and the tiara gave Ororo a really distinctive, ethnic look...It would have been nice if is was carried over into her costume.
hmmm...that would SO totally work now...the Gold collar over black cropped halter, gold cuffs, black tights and knee high boots...with a cape of course...( I would not even mind the Tiara...much)

Seconded.
After JRJr I'd say Cockrum, Byrne, Smith and Windsor-Smith. I hated Silvestri's Storm, tolerated Lee's Storm, was annoyed by Portacio's Storm and am indifferent to most other artist's rendition of Storm.
