Have they really retconned Colossus' time as an acolyte as being due to brain injury?
Lame.

Funny how the Kitty deceased phrase keeps popping up... as if anyone thought that way?

It's really annoying me that they did that now. What brain injury? His sister had died, and he realized although he didn't completely agree with Magneto, he might stand a better chance at protecting mutants than Xavier had.

um, he got that brain injury from the x-cutioner like....10 minutes before illyana died. calm down.
clearly, he wasn't thinking straight. he only went back to the acolytes after moira fixed him because he's a stubborn jerk, and he left soon after he realized how much fail was achieved.

It was a sh@# retcon that crapped all over the origional Fatal Attractions storyline. Certain Marvel writers feel they need retcons like this to explain why 'good people' decide join Magneto. Fabien Nicieza tried to pull something similar with Lorna writing in DS that she joined Magneto, because she 'was addicted to his power like a drug' which made no sense, wasn't supported by what came before, and was undone in Uncanny 430.
What made the origional Fatal Attractions story interesting was it showed how massive tragedy can lead a good person to support Magneto's methods for protecting mutants. Explaining that he did it because he got hit in the head removed most of what made the Colossus joining the Acolytes storyline interesting.
