View Full Version : Storm: The Headdress. Yes or No?

in her years, storm has fluctuated in styles.

usually, these styles involve one common theme: the infamous headdress.

you know it well. it was very prominent during her introduction. afterwards, it became something of a trademark of storm's.

it was not until the 80s that storm finally told her headdress to GTFO and cut her hair. from then on, she was headdress free.

this lasted for quite some time. throughout the late 80s, all the way thru the 90s, storm shunned her once favorited headdress.

then, she joined x-treme x-men and started wearing it again.

my question is simple: which storm do you prefer?

storm with the headdress?

or

storm without the headdress?

decide. this is not a multiple choice.

Arrgh! This is hard! I can't decide! I'd like her to experiment with different styles of headdresses though. I actually like them both to be honest. Because sometimes I can't imagine her without the headdress, and other times I can't stand the damn thing.

While I love Storm when her hair is wild and free. I voted Headdress. It just helps her Queen image and I love when she uses it as a weapon.

The headdress looked good on her first costume

I voted yes, but my favorite Storm hair now and forever is the mohawk.

justinkos, i see that you posted images of storm's legendary battle with marrow.

do you happen to have pics of storm licking blood from marrows blade from that same issue?

if so, please post.

Bingo!

I love mohawk Storm, but Ororo is a queen. Her original headdress maintains her regal beauty.

Bianchi, as justinkos91 has pointed out, equipped our lady of the wind with a cheap flea market version. It just doesn't look right. Keep it classic, or shave it into a mohawk.

The computer I'm using doesn't have a scanner currently (when I scanned my images, I was using my parent's computer, I'm on my laptop now) But I can provide what I got from the fight scene currently. I'll have the blood image tomorrow

With! But no one's saying she has to wear it every day.

Without. I'm over it.

She clearly doesn't need it to be regal and fabulous.

Olivier Coipel tells me so.

I say with, but, really, I don't care either way. She looks good no matter what she wears.

I agree. I like her with it but she doesnt need to have one. I think its something she should have every once in awhile but maybe not all the time...

I voted with.

She's awesome either way, but I think "with" lends her costume to the Classic/legacy side.

Bianchi's vomitous attempt at re-designing the tiara has killed any love I once had for it so...it's without fer me...

That headdress is a mess.
Her Tiara is a horrora

She needs to let it go.

Without. She looks absolutely gorgeous when her hair just runs free. Beau-ti-ful. Just beau-ti-ful!

She’s beautiful with or without it. I think when she’s with the Black Panther she should wear it and when she’s with the X-Men she can go without it.

I voted "with". But, then again, I do like to see her without. Maybe use it for ceremonial occasion. I liked it when she was reduced to a teenage, and had the ponytail, wearing the new Forge X=Men bulletproff costume. (Wonder why Doug Ramsey's wasn't bulletproof?)
