View Full Version : Who (besides me) is sick of movies with "rise of" or "rising" in the title?

First there was "Rise of the Machines", then "Rise of Taj", "Rise of the Silver Surfer", "Seeker: The Dark is Rising", "Hannibal Rising", and now "Rise of the Lycans" (aka. Underworld 3). What's next, "Rise of the Oompa Loompas"? "Rise of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas"? "Bread Rising in the Oven"?! Seriously, enough already!

While it is getting annoying I would hate to see a movie called

The stalemate of the ocean people.

When someone rises, at least they are doing something dammit!

Seeker: The Dark is Rising is based on a book called the Dark is rising written in the late 70's/early 80's. Getting pissed about it now is like getting upset that the Passion of the Christ had too much Jesus.
