Yes! Thanks Gary! I'm soooo picking that one up tomorrow!

And VERY nice 1946 TPB cover... May have to put that one as my phone wallpaper instead of 1946 #1 cover... ;-)

yeah ,Marisa...this book looks and sounds cool.
a couple of pretty cool people like it also....
A story with teeth, unafraid to confront some horrific truths about the world we live in,
Joshua Dysart's Unknown Soldier is a comic that genuinely matters."
- Garth Ennis

"Immensely brave, intelligent and ruthless."
- Warren Ellis

I super wish that the local comic book store hadn't closed down, cuz I'd be reading that for sure.

I haven't even read any BPRD or Hellboy related comics since the first issue of Crooked Man! I haven't read ANY new comics since that came out! Eek!

I agree that the art is beautifuil...and I really like Josh's sensibilities in this one so far...a whole new, modern flavoring of The Unknown Soldier that makes it more relevant for younger readers, while reinvigorating the classic character for us "30-something folk".

My only suggestion to Josh is...don't apologize (the last page)...tell your story and let it stand by itself on its own merits..."occidentalism" be damned !

Nice job!

Judging from the first issue, this should be a great ride. The full page nightmare image is really awesome. I'm excited to find out more about his character, and equally excited to see what kind of gritty/gory action this book will contain.

Can't wait to see what Dysart has in store for us in 1947!
