Hey Gang,
Funny story... while waiting for Mike Mignola to show up at his table at San Diego this year, I started to talk to Christine and Katie who had gotten back from lunch faster than Mike. Katie looked a little bored, so I offered to let her flip through my sketchbook. She asked if I wanted to see hers too... Of course I was curious. When I saw the first sketch, I asked them if it was alright if I snapped a quick photo of it to show to all the Hellboard members. They agreed and here it is. Her dad probably thought he should start her sketchbook out right! I know I smiled when I saw that he signed this "dad"....

Enjoy,

p.s. Thanks Nick and Neil for being patient with me. It only took me 3 months to download this off my camera, sigh...

I bet her sketch book is pretty cool. It's as if The President's daughter had a autograph book..."When did you get the Queen of England to sign this?".

My wife thinks this is so sweet. I do too... but I ain't forfeiting my man license by admitting it.

Awesome wizard drawing Mike! I bet Katie's gonna have the skills to pay the bills with her Dad's drawing experience!

Hrm, so it works on my laptop. Guess that link doesn't like Windows XP and/or IE6.
Anyways, that's a cool drawing. What I wouldn't give for my dad to be (like) Mike Mignola.

That is so cute! Very cool keepsake for Katie when she goes off to college one of these days and misses her Dad.

Wow that has to be the coolest Pythagoras I ever saw.
Although I flunked math plenty of times...

That is a wonderfull title page, indeed! I would love to see the rest of the content of that sketch book - I'm sure some of the most talented people out there did their best for Katie.

Right, thanks, I hadn't made that connection. Just saw the python, the geometry and the pointy hat. Lovely story that.
And again: gorgeous sketchbook frontispiece. It sets some standard, I'd imagine.

Very nice! I wonder if Mike would consider adopting me so I could get drawings signed "Dad"?
