No part 6 signed yet, but still, this is good news. Hopefully Kirsten will sign re-sign. If not, well...recast. Not sure who they could recast her with. Johannasen (sp?)?

I also like the idea 4 and 5 might be filmed back to back and connect to each other. Maybe part 4 will end on a cliffhanger. I'm also curious to see which villains they'll use. I feel if we see Lizard and/or Vulture, they should be cameos. With the former, we've already had two scientists turned evil [TM] villains.

I'd like to see Carnage saved for a Venom movie, but I get the feeling he might be next, to make up for Venom's short screen-time in part 3. I'd like to see Sandman back with his story resolved (did his daughter make it?). Can't think of any other villains that could carry a movie...I'm Goblin-ed out so I don't want to see any more goblims, hob or otherwise. Maybe Scorpion?

She seems like she wants to do it. Who knows? I don't mind either way. It wouldn't be a bad idea if MJ took a break. Be interesting to see Peter with another girl for once.

I'm confident it's going to be the Lizard. Raimi's non answer imply that he doesn't want to reveal it just yet.

I'm hoping we'll see Electro and the Vulture in one of the movie. Maybe Kraven in the Lizard storyline.

I wouldn't mind, I never really felt a huge amount of chemistry between Dunst and McGuire, also given MJ is retconned out of Peter's love life these days focusing on Felicia Hardy and Gwen Stacy would be more in line with the current comics.

Banks is a whole lot hotter than Dunst, imo, and I thought Betty wasn't used enough. I liked Dunst in the first two films, actually, but in the third something seemed off (that whole script thing).

And with the latter, I definitely think the Spidey franchise could do without an installment wherein the main villain is a senior citizen with wings.

I'll second the Scorpion. As a guy who's created speicifically to be Spidey's superior, and the history he has in the comics with Jameson, that's a guy who I think could carry the next movie on his own.
These movies have been proven to work best when the focus is on one villain, with the second only peeping about in the shadows.

They did a hatchet job on the Peter/MJ relationship in the third film and tried to make Mary Jane a shrew. Hopefully 4 and 5 can fix that mistake.

Agreed. MJ was handled badly in 3 and no actress could have salvaged that part at that point. I stand by saying Banks is hotter, though.

I'd like to see them do a Lord of the Rings type thing and just have Rhino, Shocker, Scorpian, Kraven, Electro and Vulture, just have a Knightfallesque storyline where Spider-man just keeps fighting then they can reveal the person behind all of this is Kingpin/Goblin/JJ.

I don't know. If they got like a bad ass actor like Lance Henrikson he could be pretty cool. I think a Vulture/Spidey fight could look amazing on the screen.

I don't think you need a two parter. You just need to introduce most of them in previous movies. We've got at less three potential members already.
