I just got back from work an hour ago and waiting for me at home was my brand new copy of The Amazing Screw on Head, fresh from archives of tfaw.com.

I bought it for the love of Mike Mignolas artwork. I have otherwise little intrest in the victorian/ steam punk stuff... this far that is. Because I have to say; There is not one thing I do not like about this little comic book. I love it. I repeat LOVE it! Every drawing every panel. The characters and the story is so heavenly crazy I just smiled and laughed my way through it all! Wow.. I have to think about this a bit more but this is definately one of my best comic book experiences EVER.

Hell yeah. It's my favorite example of Mignola's writing.

Cool. :smile: I must say that even some of the Hellboy stories seem weird - as in, turn me off weird - but just the style of Mike's art in anything draws me in.

Side question about the Amazing Screw on Head DVD: is it worth getting? I saw it at the videostore a while ago and was going to rent it... but it said the playtime was only 23 minutes or something and I didn't feel like paying $4.50 for that. Should I go look for it again?

i'm happy for you....see it's not always about hellboy with Mignola!! i too love that story and would love to see /read more....have you seen the dvd?

Spend the money...its a keeper and a kool addition to any Mignola collection, if youre a completist like me...

I would recommend buying it-- the DVD contains a short booklet that includes some of Guy Davis' sketches of alternate bodies for Screw-On Head, plus 2 new Mignola drawings of potential villians for Mr. Head.
