Is Powers still worth getting?

I've just picked up "Powers: The Definitive Hardcover Collection (Volume 1)" and really enjoyed it. Very fun.

My local comic guy no longer stocks Powers unless it's been pre-ordered. From what I can tell, there's no longer any buzz about the series. Is it still worth a buy?

The last storyline was kind of meh and the delays didn't help any. It'll be interesting to see if Bendis can rebound when the series relaunches next year.

I'm buying the series in trade, so I don't know what the current story is like. I find that, like all series, it flucuates in quality from story to story, but remains at the least a solid read at all times.

I enjoy Powers when it comes out. However, Bendis has left his baby to rot for too many months at a time for people to keep up with the story. I often wonder if I've missed an issue, even though I have not. Bendis, in my opinion, is in control of too much of Marvel. I hope this changes after Secret Invasion is done.

Yeah, #30 was the final issue of this volume. It'll start up again with a new #1 next year.
