View Full Version : Excuse me, but did Ulti. X-Men #97 take place before or after Ultimates 3?

So then, did the the events of the recent Ultimate X-Men stroyline (featuring
Alpha Flight and Moira MacTaggert) take place after or before the events
of Ultimates 3?

The reason I ask is because I saw the last panel of X-Men #97 that reveals
that Quicksilver is still alive while in Ultimates 3 #5, QS is killed by Hawkeye
because Clint did aim for Magneto, but QS got in the line of fire to order
to save his father (Magneto).

Or I could be mistaken that the person I though was Quicksilver is actually
Magneto, not QS.

Anyway, anybody here wanna give me some spoiler info on this one?

Pick up March on Ultimatum Saga, UXM 97 is set before Ultimates 3.

I thought about this too.

I'd say it's definately an inconsistency though.

Ultimates 3 starts with Quiksilver in the Ultimates and then leaving because Scarlet Witch was shot. Ultimates 3 ends with his possible death.

Thus all likelihood it would've had to happen between issue 1 and issue 5 of the Ultimates.

That even raises further inconsistencies because Wolverine was with the Ultimates from the end of issue 2 to the end of issue 5.

Unless Quiksilver was secretly with the Brotherhood throughout, but then his emotional outburst about his dad being right is kinda redundant.

Ultimates 3 ends with his possible death.

On Ultimatum issue 3 Cover it shows QS standing with the Brotherhood so I'm sure he's pretty much alive. Then theirs the fact that a single tear was about to drop out of his eye when Eric was asking where Wanda's body was at.

When I say Ultimates 3 I mean the whole of it not Ultimates 3 #3.
