I have no idea, but I do know that the answer to Iron Man is "complicated".

With Volume 3's #66, and without counting the Claremont/Miller mini, it should be #255.

and should they all go back to them
Yes.

No clue what the numbers would be, but I definitely don't think Cap should ever go back to the original numbering. Bru's series so far has been about Bucky's return and stepping up into the role of Cap, so that story starting in issue one is perfect.

Yes. I passionately hate renumbering. HATE IT.

If you count all the Wolverine One-Shots I bet it approaches 500

I count 474 issues.

Not counting ToS
Vol 1 - 332
Vol 2 - 13
Vol 3 - 89
Vol 4 - 34 to date (counting the War Machine issues, but not those that have not been released)
Vol 5 - 6 (Invincible Iron Man)

Total - 474 issues to date.

A quick search (I'm super bored) shows Captain America at 570. 492 if you don't count the "Commie Smasher" Cap series.

Daredevil is at something like 492 as well.

I'd say yes to Daredevil and Wolverine, but no to the rest. The reason I say yes to Daredevil and Wovlerine is that it started numbering with issue 1, and is only on its second and third volumes. The others are up to volume 5? Plus Captain America didn't start with issue 1.

And besides, do you count Invincible Iron Man comics (the earlier series) as in the Iron Man run or put them in the current Invincible Iron Man run?

For Captain America:
Captain America Comics which turns into Captain America at #76 then is canceled at #78. So 78 issues if you count it.
Then Tales of Suspense becomes Captain America at #100 runs for 454 issues, so 355 issues.
Loeb/Liefeld volume goes 13 issues.
Then in 98 a 50 issue run.
Then the Marvel Knights run for 32 issues.
And now the current run up to 42 issues, 43 next week.

I just count them all in the same as I don't really see them as completely separate titles like a Spectacular Spider-Man to Amazing Spider-Man or Uncanny X-Men and X-Men. Just like I'd count the current Hulk volume along with Incredible Hulk.

It's a weird stance, admittedly. Just seems like I'm cherry picking, but it's just what I feel is right.

570 or 492 if you don't count Captain America Comics. In terms of how they seem to be renumbering Thor, though (i.e. continuing the JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY numbering), I think it's more likely they'd continue the TALES OF SUSPENSE numbering. So that's #454 plus the additional 137 issues. So we'd be on CAP #591.

I just remembered why I hate renumbering. If in a few years I decide to look for some back issues to read some stories I missed I'm going to be confused as hell, because Thor #598 is actually Thor #14 (or whatever) and there is no #598.

i don't like renumbering for the sake of a new #1. but i don't like going back to original numbering, either.

if you're going to change, have the guts/balls/whatever to stick with that change.

not that i get particularly worked up about either. they're only numbers, after all.

that said, i did like the way DC double-numbered some of their books in the early 90's.

Maybe it would be a good idea for marvel since its marvels 70 soon
for one month have all the books go to the original numbering and the renumbering on the botton and see how that plays out to the fans
