It's always nice to pick up a meaty one shot thats not padded out with old stories, isn't it?
I wouldn't say theres anything worth going out of your way to buy here but all the stories are pretty decent and nothing bad really comes to mind.
I particularly enjoyed Peter David's "Dracula vs Hulk" short story.

I had no money to buy it but it looked like an actual quality one shot for a change and most of the issue appeared to be Frankenstein and Hulk.

I definitely don't regret buyng it, it's Hulk beating the crap out of gamma powered Frankenstein('s monster), werewolves and vampires and it's all held together nicely enough.
It's leagues better than that Hulk vs Fing Fang Foom one shot Marvel released awhile ago.

Two brand new stories along with a written story in prose.
For once, this looked like a great buy. No reprints added on the back of the comic for an additional $1.00 fee.
All original material, bought it on the spot, no thought involved. I'll give a review once i read it 2-3 weeks from now.

I've yet to read the Dracula short story, but i immensely enjoyed the other two. The Frankenstein story highlighted the Hulk parallels with the creature(Adam), while the second story focused more on Bruce and Jack. I liked that it made a point to show that the werewolf by night DOES kill people, and that hulk doesn't.
also how weird must that morning have been for Bruce and Jack? lol......".dogman treat hulk like cheap prostitute! ARGH!"

I haven't seen it yet. Going by the thread title, I thought it might be a reference to the annoying habit now of drawing the Hulk looking nine to forty feet tall.

I liked it. But then, I'm a sucker for Marvel's Monster of Frankenstein.

I haven't, but they featured some sample art from it in Skaar SofH Presents Savage World #1. The art looked very well done... maybe I'll pick up a copy eventually.

Hmm sounds interesting.
I hope the hulk gets off his ass and do some serious killing, then everyone's gonna take the hulk seriously.
With Peter David writing this,i'm curious to see what he has in store for the hulk.
I always hated that spiderman dumdass powers can keep him from becoming an vampire.
Hopefully the hulk gets some vampire blood into his system,or bite which further mutates him.
Damed i haven't been excited like this in a long time for a regular 616 hulk book.

I'm just reading it now. Of course he didn't beat the crap out of the Frankenstein Monster but at least there was an excuse for a relatively even fight.
I loved the artwork on the Hulk/ Werewolf story though the idea of the werewolf being able to stand up against even one glancing slap from the Hulk was ridiculous.
But still a little Halloween special that was well worth it.

I'm also a major fan of the 1970s Marvel Horror comics, Tomb of Dracula and the Frankenstein Monster stuff.

I just discovered the Marvel stuff a couple of years ago. Though, I've been a fan of classic monster movies (like the Universal films of the '30s) since I was about ten years old.
I don't know why though, but I could just never get into Marvel's version of Dracula. He was just never a favorite with me, though I understand that he's probably the most popular and important of Marvel's '70s monsters.

It was neat and yeah, much better than the Fin Fang Foom special. Hardman/Loughridge really stole the show for me, but the art was good all around. The stories were interesting, but they relied a little too heavily on the Hulk's drifter status quo. The three stories basically had the same plot. But not bad.

Finally brought it home this week. Wish I had picked it up last week (Halloween), as I didn't realize this was an all-Monsters issue. The Frankenstein story was very well done -- pretty much what I've come to expect from Parker (why he's bothering with Sentry is beyond me). The art in the first story was very Michael Lark-like.
I'm looking forward to reading the Hulk/Dracula prose story. Looks like a female vampire feeds on some of Banner's blood -- then takes on Drac. Should be cool.
With Hulk meeting Thundra a few months back, and the monsters this issue, I'm beginning to think a monthly Hulk meets ___ series could be great in Parker's hands.

I'm with the Doc.
Thought the book was great and it was so much better than Hulk vs Fing Fang Foom.

Finally got a copy of this.
What's amazing, is this Hulk story wraps up a plotline that was dangling for decades. The Monster of Frankenstein series ended on a cliffhanger, and though the Monster "Adam" later showed up as an ally of Bloodstone, the cliffhanger was never resolved.
And here, Marvel did it. Yea!
