I'm sure I'm not the only one who regarded the theme for the Adam West Batman series as a highlight of the show ...

Edit: And I see I misspelled his first name. *sigh*

RIP

I'd say the 'Odd Couple' theme is definitely the one I've hummed the most over the years.

I was watching late night television a few years ago, and on came a classic Frank Sanatra movie "Tony Rome" or maybe it was the other one in the "series", "Lady in Cement". Anyway, it's the typical hardboiled detective caught between organized crime elements, the police, dangerous dames, etc.
When suddenly I realized I was listening to the same musical direction or arrangement as the Batman TV show...

The impact was incredible, cause it elevated this serious movie to comic caper status. Sure enough, the credits revealed the same composer! An unmistakable sound!

Check it out!

By the way, welcome back, Kirk! Just this morning or last night I realized you'd been gone for what seemed like ages -- hope everything is OK on your end. (I also vaguely recall you posting something awhile back about a trip to Ireland being in the offing, or something like that, so maybe there's a connection ...)

As a matter of fact, while I was gone, some manager got into my computer at work, and erased all cookies...
Therefore, my numeric password to this site, as well as all records on which threads I had read, and how far into each I had gotten, and what the last entry read... e tc, etc, etc, were all wiped out.

Though I could come to the site and read, I was always rereading the same things from before.... and every one of the forums was locked with a padlock to me.

This week, we got new computer terminals, and all of us started entering our favorite sites and passwords in again, and I slipped CBR in under a pretext of needing it for research. (Only half true and not really that much of a stretch...)

PS: Thanks for welcoming me back... and Congrats to Dox for the job as a librarian in SLC... always better than a hotel clerk job, eh Dox?
