Astonishing X-Men #27 (X-Men Manifest Destiny Tie-In), $2.99 - It is probably just me but I cannot get into Bianchi's artwork. Is it the coloring? Always seems overly "muddy/dark".

Rest assured, it is not you. I like the art but find it incomprehensible at times and think that it is the coloring. After the entertaining Whedon/Cassaday run, this has been a gigantic disappointment (add in a fill-in mini-series 3 issues into the run) and I am dropping the book after this issue.

Maybe a little...but danged if this book isn't awesome!

Okay, I am glad it is not just me. I dislike putting a comment down like that because I dont want to sound like your typical internet basher. But I definitely did not like his and Loeb's Wolverine arc. To each his own though regarding art. I may be dropping this book as well.

And I do like GoTG big time. I just feel like they could have done without the tie-in. Perhaps a follow-up story after the mini concluded would have been better. Maybe the team philosophically talks about that is why they were formed, should have done something/recognized what was happening, etc.

Booster Gold #13, $2.99 - If this is the Remender/Oliffe issue(s), then I am probably in.

I was going to stop buying this book (as a part of my dropping of all continuity DC books - I have no faith in the direction. No faith any creative team will be given time to do a good story. And a lack of interest in big picture. too many books feel like they keep having the rug pulled out from under them). BUT that cover, combined with 2 good creators have kept me on for another 2 issues I guess.

I have cut back from weekly shipping, so Tuesday's box has some of last week's stuff too.

Finder vol. 7: The Rescuers TP (back ordered)--I was tearing through this series until I hit this hole in my collection.

Four Eyes #1
I Kill Giants #4
I'm a sucker for Joe Kelly comics, and I didn't have that "Oh, those'll be in trade" feeling in my gut. Could be wrong, but didn't want to chance it.

Serenity: Better Days TP--By "Better Days" I hope they mean better than the last mini. Loved the dialogue, was disappointed by the actual plot/story.

Batman and the Outsiders vol. 1: The Chrysalis TP
Birds of Prey: Metropolis or Dust TP
Two DC trades for series that have since lost their respective writers. *sigh*

Young Avengers Presents TP--For some odd reason, I've lost so much enthusiasm for this book. Maybe once it is in my hands, I'll perk up.

Daredevil: Cruel Unusual TP--The first of my wait-for-trade-only Brubaker DD.

Scalped vol. 3: Dead Mothers TP--This is probably what I am the most excited for. I'll give vol 1 and 2 a quick refresher, not because I'm fuzzy on events, but because I want to. Like listening to a bands' albums the week before a concert.

Ex Machina vol. 7: Ex Cathedra TP--My only BKV series.

Crossing Midnight vol. 3: Sword in the Soul TP--I never read vol. 2 because the series cancellation was announced before I even got it. So I figure I'll just read vol. 1 again and go straight through.

Ursa Minors vol. 1: Wait for the Trade Ed--OK, the Previews solicitation copy and the subtitle completely hooked me into this nearly complete unknown.

Doctor Sleepless vol. 1: Engines of Desire TP--Ellis's Avatar stuff normally ain't my speed, but I'm looking forward to this one.

Marvel Adventures The Avengers vol. 7 digest--Really enjoyed the last volume. I think I ordered a second for our niece.

I dropped B&O with Dixon's last issue. BOP is still on my reading list but have found that the departure of Nicola Scott (shortly after Gail) has dampened excitement for the book so much that this book is on the chopping block right now. I'm currently thinking that issue #125 is a good jumping off point.

This book (and these characters) is not the same without Heinberg & Cheung steering the ship.

Atomic Robo vol.2, #3 (Red 5 comics, Ltd.) - by Clevinger, Wegener, Pattison, Goddard, Ribeiro, Washington, Pettapiece. A nice comic book where the art style is a bit of Daisy Kutter and something else I can't think of right now, but it's definitely a combo style and nothing new I haven't seen before.

Moon Knight, v.?, #23 (Marvel) - by Benson, Texeira, Saltares, Brown, Suydam. Though this is the team I would wish for this book, and the look is a good one, there is some lacking excitement within, the end being the exception.

Justice Society of America #19 (DC) - by Johns, Ross, Eaglesham, Messengill, Ordway, Hi-Fi. Starman's secret was pretty lame and I don't understand some of the team's opposition to what Gog is doing. Plus the team so easily sqauring off against each other was kinda stupid. Without some of these cliche things, this book could be pretty good, but it seems to be taking the easy routes of storytelling.

Titans #6 (DC) - by Winick, Lopez, Rollins & Bit, Delgado. The story & art were okay. I think Winick makes some of the dialogue a bit on the light side.

Nyx, v.2, #3 (Marvel) - by Liu, Andrasofszky, Pichelli, Perez, Rauch, Urusov. The art is good, but the concept is confusing. I don't know what kind of book this is supposed to be and how it connects to the previous series. Either this book is really good and over my head or the crap I suspect it to be of trying to be too much, which just makes for a mass of confusing/contrasting ideas that leaves the story at, blah.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch #97 (Archie Comics) - by Del Rio, Cibos, Amash, Jensen. This was better, but the series is still missing Tania. The Queen is a mess, I don't see good things happening in the future.

The MAX Punisher #61-63 (Max Marvel) - by Hurwitz, Campbell, Loughridge, Johnson. I love the gritty feel of this storyline and I think Lee is one of my fave colorists right now. His versatility and ability to impose his own talents as well as letting the other artists' talents be present is something that not many are able to do with full color comics. Everything he adds definitely makes the overall book, better. The one thing about this story, is that the Punisher is definitely a 'lighter' version of what he had been in past issues, but the upcoming issues will tell.

Deadpool #1 "One of Us" (Marvel) - by Way, Medina, Vlasco, Gracia, Crain, Liefeld. I should've noticed who wrote this as a warning, but I missed it. Way still has an odd way of writing and it doesn't seem to get better. This is a very weird story, but with the full backround saga, it's kinda okay. I hate the whole invasion thing and this is no exception.

Burma Chronicles (Drawn and Quarterly) - by Guy Delisle, Dascher. This GN is a great book which, like one of the reviewers notices, is a nice little book of observations. The story is subtle, but it's there.
