Events of these so compelling that even you have a hard time breathing during said scene. My personal list for instance.
1. Gladiator - Commodus smothering his father with a pillow all the while screaming in emotional agony. That was just wrong.
2. Return of the Jedi - Jabba the Hutt's demise. Nuff said. (Note: one of the few times I ever felt sorry for an unrepetant villain)
All I have for now
EDIT: I intended to post this in the TV/film forum. Sorry.

You should watch No Country For Old Men if you haven't. Its strangling scene makes both of these choices Sesame Street learning.

And that's in the first minute of the movie.

When I read the topic I was thinking "This is a comic forum, not an erotic one. But if I had to pick one..."
Much less creepy, although still a little weird.
And in the wrong forum. If only I could remember what forum this should be in. If only the thread title could give me a hint.
Hmm
The strangulation forum?
No, no.
The smotherings forum.

There is something disturbing talking about best strangling/smothering on film , isn't it kind of morbid ?! I might be a prune but i wouldn't go down that path.
I do not want to see future topics like best rape on film or best incest on film.

The ragdoll strangling in Season 1 Charlie's Angels--pretty models being strangled, one of them a look-alike for Kelly Garrett.
Didn't Barnabas kill Angelique by strangling her in Dark Shadows?
Drag-queen Nat smothering an old Mafia boss who's about to "drop the dime" on his "family" in OZ!
Ruthie's near strangulation by her own snake in Season 2 of Carnivale!

I've noticed these get increasingly specific. I'm waiting for the "Top 10 Asian Auto-Erotic Asphyxiation Scenes" thread.

Am I the only one creeped out by this topic?I don't blame you. But the idea for this thread popped into my head while I was studying History of Western Civilizations and read about the death of the Roman caesar Commodus (the real one) who happened to be covertly assassinated via strangulation by his wrestling teacher/coach. Plus I figure that since it's the Halloween season, it wouldn't hurt.

I do not want to see future topics like best rape on filmNaw. For me, that'd be going a bit too far. Besides, the newest episode of South Park pretty much covered that (in more ways than one).

To respond to all of you, no, you're not alone. This thread bothers me too.

Next time, provide context. It helps in so many different ways. Most importantly for this thread, it can help you come off as a good bit less creepy.
