JT - SpongeBob Crotchclamp! Or at least his best friend. I hear this was one of the early designs before the much darker, Mignola-inspired, SpongeBob movie was put aside.

At first the idea that instead of running out of ink your sketch "undraws" itself from the beginning bothered me. But now I think it can be used to add to the "what's he drawing?" reaction

You can also "pencil in" your drawing with fine lines and use them as extra fuel when you lay in heavy lines, shading and blocks of colour. The program doesn't seem to measure "how much" ink you use but rather "how far" the pencil travels on the page. Super fat lines and really fines lines use up the same amount of ink. If you start with an outline that will get covered up you can keep going while that line disappears, even though it's covered and the ink meter says you've run out.

So. Freaking. Addictive.

And yet I'm quite crappy at it. There's a slight sluggishness and stickiness to it that makes it as though you're trying to paint while drunk.

So here's a drunken Mignola swipe (http://artpad.art.com/?j1gaqj10sfjw).

It's the swipe that's drunken, not the Mignola.

Yeah, play it fast or skip to the end. It takes a while and there's a mess of stuff that I ended up painting over.

So. Freaking. Addictive.

How can you curse my name for resurrecting this thread and sumultaneously post such a stunning drawing! I can't say enough that I learn from every one of these drawings. Ruta, your use of splattery paint can is brilliant - you've somehow even captured the Kirbyesque flame style that Mignola used on the original cover. The aortic finish to your drawing is brilliant!

More, I say! More! From everyone! More! More! More!

And no more of these pleas for us viewers to skip to the end. Viewing on high speed I understand - but skipping to the end? That's just crazy talk. The beauty of this thing is watching the drawing unfold.

cat maggot?
Wine? Are you sure you didn't mean psilocybin? That psychedelic cat maggot's eerie grin well, combined with the entire pepperoni pizza I just ate is going to haunt my dreams tonight.

Gosh, it has been forever I haven't used these online drawing tools even if it
is fascinating to see the drawing "in process" :)

Here's mine, a very quick one (just put on fast and enjoy it: it will take less
than 30 seconds from start to finish ;))

Wow, I'm proud. My name actually means "lower situated pasture / meadow", as in a patch of land owned by a forefather. Fertile yet wet, but probably good for growing barley and grain stuff, to cook up great beers and ales from.
If enough sun'd be provided that is, 's why I'm always so darn cheerful. (Or would that be the lager talkin'?).
