I just got back in the game recently and just finished reading B.P.R.D. Volume 7: Garden of Souls.

I realized, just as Mike's art oozes emoition and grand atmosphere - Guy's art oozes energy and pulpy monster goodness.

I read comics as an escape from the troubles in life, and the B.R.P.D helps in that regard tremondously.

Thank you Guy. thank you for providing so much entertainement.

And I can't leave out Dave Stewart. The colors are so well done and warm... they feel like, at the risk of sounding sappy..home.

Mike and Guy are excellent artists and creators.

Hellboy, B.P.R.D., The Marquis - - they remind me of why I love comics. I was dejected for the longest time, almost two years, over comics. I almost hated them, but I kept collecting Hellboy, B.P.R.D., and other indy titles, and they all remind me why I love comics in the first place.

I lost my love for mainstream comics a long time ago. But books like HB, BPRD, The Goon, Judge Dredd, etc keep my love for the media alive. I still am a comic geek, I just have more sophistocated tastes now. The latest spandex superheroes aren't enough anymore.

the closest I ever come now to reading mainstream books is SPAWN. The only exception to the rule.
