With Halloween coming up, I thought it be time to start a thread involving Halloween and leading up to it. What are you planning to dress up as? What do you normally do? Decorations? Children excited? ETC.
I'm currently thinking of costumes. I think I'll probably go with the Dark Knight Joker (like I feel a lot of people will be doing this year), and I can actually FIND that costume.
For the past couple years I've wanted to do more of the Mad Hatter character, but I haven't had any luck finding anything that might help make the costume.
What about everyone else?

Just waiting for the day after- cheap candy corn and chocolates!
No kids and no trick or treaters around me, so not much fun for the holiday itself.
P.S. Please don't do the freakin' Joker.

As I said on the 'Unrelated Thoughts' thread, I'm going to try to reread From Hell before All Hallow's Eve is over.

Will go to some parties.
Don't know what I'm dressing up as. For awhile I was thinking Spider Jerusalem, but maybe I'll do something else. Last year I was Rene Magritte's painting "Son of Man," so I'm trying to think of something along those lines. If all else fails, there's always Groucho Marx.
Oh, and 4thHorseman, don't do The Joker. EVERYONE will be The Joker this year. It will be like two years or so ago when everyone had a Borat or two at their party.

I was thinkin Hellboy ( goes back to a comment a friend made saying i looked like him W/ a cigar, I think it is cuz i'm Native American, a Large REDMAN Smoking a Cohiba  )
Anyway i put off buying the costume for too long, and i already have the Priest's robe

Hellboy would be keen. Everyone else shows up as The Joker and you're the guy with the big gun, the shaved horns, and the right hand of doom. You win.
If old-fashioned diving gear was cheap (and if I could pull off a decent German accent), I'd so do Johann Kraus.
On the note of Hellboy stuff, maybe I should try to do Lobster Johnson.

It gets without saying that I love Halloween. I even got married on Halloween.
This year I'm torn between doing a classic style Dracula.Or the Crypt Keeper.

My flatmate and I are watching 31 horror movies in the run-up to Halloween itself, when I plan to go get drunk while dressed as Michael Myers. Though I really need to get a back-up costume ready since my mask hasn't come through yet.

Last year I dressed up as Darth Vader for Halloween. I know....not very sexy! ...and for godssakes don't tell Lester!
This year I'm undecided. Halloween isn't big over here and because it's Spring, Pumpkins have to be imported at something like $8 bucks a kilo. (Thats about $20 bucks a 1lb people!! ) So pumpkins are out for decorations....
When i went trick o' treating last year i got some very abusive people....not good when you're an adult let alone the kids i was with. :frown:
I might just celebrate a little at home this year actually!

I've never tasted pumpkin in my life, let alone carved one.

Sex in full costume should be the ultimate goal here.

Oh pumpkin is yum....especially roasted. strangely enough they eat a LOT of pumpkin here. It's not that bright orange pumpkin though....this is like a silver green color. or butternut squash..
God stop me from posting recipes.

Halloween's pretty awesome but I'll be working. :frown:
My brother won a 250 pound pumpkin at some local faire the other year. There were no worries about people smashing that pumpkin since it ttok to adults to even lift it!
I'm a sucker for a woman dressed at Catwoman (Batman 2 version's my favorite) though which adds to the holiday delight.

I love Halloween.
Last year I started putting together a Ghostbusters costume, (minus proton pack/trap/etc...those things are waaaaaay too expensive for such a limited use).
This is me last year testing the costume out. (I built the goggles myself). Sorry if it's huge...

This year, I've actually purchased on eBay the same model of walkie talkies they used in the movies, so I'll be adding that to the belt. On top of that, I've lost 50 lbs or so since then, so I have to buy a new smaller flight suit and reattach the patches because the old one is too huge.

Yeah, I figure everyone will be doing the Joker as it is this year (though I've been wanting to do the cartoon version for several years now), but I REALLY want to do the Mad Hatter (Secret Six version).
Does anyone know where to find some decent Mad Hatter hats? The only ones I can find are always in the Mad Hatter costume.........for women.
The good thing is, my girlfriend was planning to dress up with me. So if I go as the Mad Hatter, she might do the Queen of Hearts or Alice in Wonderland, and if I'm the joker, she might be Batgirl or Harleyquinn.

mmnnn personally I'd go with the Joker because it;s slightly easier to get hold of the gear and the same for your g'f's outfit too.

I pulled dressed as Papa Smurf one year. The giveaway was when my friend's flatmate came into the room with blue paint round her mouth.

At the risk of sounding all Blue Peter here, can't you make a big hat?

Hee. I'm doing the facepainting at this year's party. That's exactly why I ordered extra white.

Come to think of it, the FR cover-alls we wear in the field is the same color, A few patches, and Ghostbusters could be my costume next year.
Also I noticed today that the coat Wolverine wore in the X-men Film is very similar to the coats issued to some of the Ruffnecks, But Wolvie is supposed to be short right?
