I started to become interested in Narcocorrido (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcocorrido) songs about 2 years ago after all those Mexican music stars were killed. Until then I never knew Polka had influenced Mexican music

Polka as Gangsta Rap. Such a great way to scare your parents.

Comes from the German migration into Mexico during the early 1900s.

The best part about Tejano/Norteno bands is that there are always at least 8 or 9 dudes in the band and they all wear awesome matching shirts and cowboy hats.

There's a flea market here in Austin that had shirts like that. In my old band we considered getting them but never did. We did however often all wear Guayabara shirts when we played but they weren't matching.
