Do you think my cast for an X-Men 4 would work?

http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h8/oneshyguy46/X4-X5-X6.jpg

Please post as to why you disagree or agree with my choices

Teams would consist of:

X-Men Team:
Bringing back:
Storm
Beast

New Addition to the X-Men:
Emma Forst
Dazzler
Gambit
Bishop
Forge

Young X-Men:
Jubilee
Rachel Grey
Stacy X
Magma
Cannonball
Marrow

Brotherhood:
Mr. Sinister
Apocalypse
Blob
Quicksilver
Scarlet Witch
Destiny

I'd focus on the main team. Storm is back, I'd bring James Marsden back as Havoc and Polaris would show up as well. With or without Cumming, Nightcrawler would be back. Four would have the team facing some new (to the films) villains, all in preparation for 5. In that film, they head to Muir to help Moira stop her son Proteus from destroying his father - CHARLES XAVIER!

I'd also have Leelee Sobieski as Emma, and Dakota Fanning as the Cuckoos.

Who is the girl you have as Stacy X? She looks familiar but i'm not sure i'm thinking of the right person.

who you got as Jubilee?

I don't think it'd work personally.
I want a reboot...where it can be a X-men movie...not a Wolverine and The X-men movie.

I think there's some pretty neat choices there! Katherine Heigl as the White Queen would be great! Amanda Seyfried as Magik is also a neat choice. Clive Owen would make a great Sinister, and Ethan Suplee as the Blob is just funny. I'd still like to see Iceman, Rogue and Kitty return though. (If Ellen Page isn't too busy anymore of course).

I dunno about Apocalypse. I think if they make a new movie, White Queen should be the villian. Bring her in as a new teacher - maybe mutants now work closely with the government - with Xavier gone, they move in and help the school stay open, secretly loving the idea of keeping all the mutants in one place and easy to monitor - and they suggest Emma as a new teacher/liaison that eventually bites them in the ass. She has 'questionable' teaching methods, wherein eventually Storm, Beast and whoever else is still teaching eventually have to face her down, with students picking their camp.

Whoever it was who said Dakota Fanning should be the Cuckoos - that is also gold. She can be sufficiently creepy.

For Emma Frost, I think we'd need a bit more than someone who just looks hot. Someone who oozes sophistication and contempt with a tinge of playfulness, someone who can channel Lilith Sternin and speak like Frasier Crane. Under the right direction, I think Elizabeth Hurley would work.

Stacy X is Jessica Sutta from the PCD. I know she's just a singer but she has had some acting before.

Thanks for the comments guys.

And Caanan... i think casting Emma as villain would be great  ... maybe even make the film end with Emma leaving to the Hellfire Club and introducing another team of villains.

I would actually want Ellen Page to return as Shadowcat and Shawn Ashmore as Iceman... but since Rogue took the cure i dont think she would stick around much since she might feel out of place yet again in the X Mansion since she's not like them anymore.

The only way I would want Apocalypse in the film is if he is voiced by they guy that did him in the FOX series. That is how he should sound in the movie.

If there is an X-Men 4, keep Wolverine out of the story so we can avoid "The Wolverine Show" from repeating itself.

There's no option for "Regardless of the future of the X-franchise, I spent a lot of time picking random people to fill rolls, many of which will probably never be used in any movie?"

It'll happen depending on how successful his movie is.

Personally Storm needs a serious recast. Her and Rogue both, never liked the actress who played as Rogue since she turned Rogue into a wimp.

Hurley would've been a really interesting choice for Emma about 15 years ago. Sobieski is the one who can pull off all the combined things you were talking about, with great panache. She's also far more a contemporary of the other actors in the previous cast.

Stacy X, Mr. Sinister and Apocalypse are characters I'd never go near. The latter bores me to distraction and I've never understood why anyone was interested in the others. I just can't see it.

One person i would really like to get rid of is Halle Berry as storm she just doesnt cut it for me she doesnt have that air of dignity and bearing storm should have and personally i never thought HB was that hot. Kerry Washington (fantastic four) or Aisha Tyler (Bals of Fury) are far better choses both in terms of better actresses and having that aforementioned look and air.

Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost as Emma Frost. I doubt Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and Ian McKellen would want to be in another X-Men movie.

X4- A new beggining
Cyclops is still alive and been cared by Emma. She's doing it to help the broterhood but she falls in love with Scott. Meanwhile at the school Storm tries to make things work but things are going bad. Scott shows up with Emma puts' the school back together. Powerfull mutants are disapearing the X-Team investigates but they get attacked by Mystike and her Broterhood. It's all a diversion because Apocalypse goes after Scarlet Witch, Franklin Richards and Rachel Grey in order to turn this dimension into the Age of Apocalypse

Main Team:
Cyclops
Storm
Wolverine
Colossus
Ice Man
Shadowcat
Beast

Young X-men
Wolfsbane
Moonstar
SunSpot
Rachel Grey
Cannonball
Angel

Broterhood 1 ( Frost turns on them and joins her love Scott)
Mystike
Quicksilver
Scarlet Witch
Gambit
Emma Frost
Juggernaut

or

Brotherhood 2
Mystike
Pyro
Blob
Toad
Sabretooth
Exodus
Emma

X5- Age of Apocalypse

X6 - S'hiar Invasion

I haven't seen Sobieski do anything that would convince me she could pull it off, granted I haven't seen her in film since 2001. Unless she's grown some range since then, I don't see it.

I thought Hurley might've been too old for the part too...until I saw her pictures on IMDB from this year. I always considered Emma Frost older than most of the X-Men (until they de-aged her in the last decade, which I'm ignoring). I agree she's not as contemporary as the rest of the cast, but I wasn't speaking to the ensemble as much as I was the role I thought was miscast the worst.

I like the idea of Christina Cole as Emma Frost

Once headlined HEX and played the witch Lilith in DR WHO
She's got that beautiful yet dangerous/bitchy look about her.

I think the thing with these movies is that it isn't what happens in the movie, it's the theme that matters. It's like they need a theme to validate it as something more than just a fanboy movie. It makes it more mature. ;)

If you look at the end of X3 a lot of mutants were depowered. What if, in the 4th, there aren't that many left, so the government decides they can keep tabs on the mutant community better, by wresting control of the school now that Chuck's dead, and planting Emma as the new headmistress/liaison.

Mutants are forced to come to the school to 'learn' (re: be studied) but there is one who refuses to play by the rules. Dazzler. (Anastacia would be great, Mandy Moore maybe, or if she can sing, Naomi Watts). They get her eventually, and keep her locked up. She sees how the school is changing. The way the kids are taught, like army recruits, rather than kids, and how the government is collecting information on them to take them all out should they become rogue, so she breaks out, finds some original X Men who have been laying low (Beast, Iceman, Collossus - etc) and they have to take it back.

The bad guys would be the government and lack of civil rights, thematically, but the real bad guys would be Emma Frost and the sentinels. And whichever mutants decide to side with Emma in the big final battle.

If you want some other evil teachers, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver would work. They get hired by the government together, secretly working against them to take it all down and get revenge for what happened to their father.

Who would make a good Scarlet Witch? Quicksilver?

She was quite good in the French TV version of Lés Liasons Dangereuses with Catherine Deneuve and Rupert Everett. She's also filled out and is much more womanly than the waif in Eyes Wide Shut. I think she'd be a revelation as "Emma," as she's got much of the background and experience, socially, to pull the character into sharp focus.

Yes, Emma was originally a bit older than Scott, and was originally more a contemporary of Charles, but given the current books and the sort of liberties and tweaks taken in adaptation, I'd make her roughly Scott's age, a young teacher taking both Charles and Jean's place at the school, with everyone wondering what side she was really on.

HB was fine as storm
...if you know nothing about the character other than what you know from the movies. In that case, Paquin was fine as Rogue. Both characters were played by equally wrong actors.

Ethan Suplee has lost quite a bit of weight, so how about Ralphie May as the Blob.
