Tim Drake is starting to look old. I love his character and don't want him to go away, but maybe he should graduate to a new persona like Dick did.
To me the "Robin character works best as a young boy/girl who is in training and inexperienced. I don't want Damien. I think Bruce choosing another kid over him could be a good wedge between them for story telling purposes.
I just think if DC continues to age Tim, the Batman/Robin team up won't be as strong because Tim will no longer need Bruce as he will be his own man and can fight his own battles.
You want another Robin AND fool people that Bruce is still in his thirties? :P

Dick Grayson appeared as Robin in 1940. He stopped in 1984. You're jumping the gun on Tim a bit aren't you?

I'd rather Batman go solo again if Tim was made to grow up, but I prefer solo Batman: I've never gotten robin

If he was going to choose another Robin I think Bruce would have a moral responsilbilty to help Damian. To turn him away from evil, give him an outlet etc, all that old reasoning except in Damian it's so much more urgent than with Dick or Jason. He's already an assassin

I like the idea of Damian as Robin, I think the problem with Jason Todd was that they had a good idea in a reckless and rough Robin, they just didn't do the second part of that story which should've been Bruce turning him around and helping him to grow into a better Robin, which could be a great story if done with Damian. Plus the redeemed character could be very interesting in that you would have his mother trying to turn him back to her side and the struggle of him to resist.

If Tim leaves Robin behind, I would like to see him become the new Nightwing.

Damian is the only logical choice for Batman's sidekick, even if Bruce is no longer Batman after "Batman RIP." Even then, it would make sense. Were Dick to assume the mantle of the bat, he would be indebted to Bruce (or Bruce's memory) as Bruce's "first son," to redeem the youngest member of the Bat-family.
Also, were the future in Batman #666 to ever happen, it would make sense that Damien "apprenticed" as Robin before becoming the fully-fledged Batman.
Plus the redeemed character could be very interesting in that you would have his mother trying to turn him back to her side and the struggle of him to resist.
I would not be surprised if this was the introductory storyline in the Robin series after "Batman RIP" comes to a close.
