In this thread we bring up quotes that remind us of either Batman, his friends, or his enemies. It's kind of a game, the next person has to guess who the quote resembles.
These first two should be easy.
"Marilyn Monroe is a soldier. Her commander in chief is the greatest and most powerful man in the world. The first duty of a soldier is to obey her commander in chief. He says do this, you do it. He says do that, you do it."-Marilyn Monroe.
"Men have called me mad, but the question is not yet settled, whether madness is or is not the loftiest intelligence." Edgar Allan Poe Eleanora

The Monroe quote makes me think of Harley.
Poe's makes me think of either the Riddler or the Mad Hatter.
As for my quotes:
"It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees." - Emiliano Zapata
"Remember, the most important rule is to never get caught breaking the rules." - Anonymous

Yes on Harley, and while looking back on it does kinda sound like the Riddler, that isn't who I intended for.
Anarky, and the Riddler?

No on both counts. And if the Poe quite is Riddler of the Hatter... Unless, it wouldn't happen to be Ra's Al Ghul, would it?
I'll post some more quotes once someone figures out the characters I was thinking of with my first two quotes.

I think you made a typo up there, did you mean, "And if the Poe Quote is not Riddler or the Hatter...unless, it wouldn't happen to Be Ra's Al Gul would it?" None of those are who it reminds me of.

Well hell.. All right, I give up. No idea who it might be then.
Oh, as to not understanding the game, if I've understood Lew Moxon correctly then here's an example of how it works.
Poster 1 thinks of a famous quote from a real person and posts it.
Poster 2 tries to guess what fictional Batman character was thought of when Poster 1 posted his quote.
For example:
Poster 1: "Not everyone can relate to true love. But everybody has known heartbreak." - Johnny Cash
Poster 2: Is it Catwoman?
Poster 1: Nope!
Poster 2: Okay; then it's Batman!
Poster 1: Correct!
Now poster 2 posts a quote from a famous person, that makes him think of a Batman character and the next poster tries to figure out which character Poster 2 is reminded of by their quote.

Yep, that's exactly it.
WIld guess, Ra's al Ghul and Poison Ivy?
'She'd never bother with people she'd hate. That's why the lady is a tramp'.
The line is taken from the song 'The Lady Is a Tramp' sung by Frank Sinatra. And it makes me think of Selina.
'The female of the species is deadlier than the male'
The line is taken from the song 'Deadlier than The Male', by the Walker Bros. It reminds me of Talia.

You got the first one right! Die on your feet did indeed make me think of Ra's. Ivy, however, was not who I thought of.
I'll go ahead and toss up a couple more to keep the ball rolling:
I don't like that man. I must get to know him better. - Abraham Lincoln
It is curious that physical courage should be so common in the world and moral courage so rare. - Samuel Clemmins (Mark Twain)

Weirdly, they both sound like Batman to me.

You are correct on the first quote, but the Clemmins quote made me think of someone else; try and guess!
