Sega had some of the best commercials back in the day.

Here's one for the Saturn that's better than anything that was released for the actual system.

Then there's the old ads for Atari Jaguar that tried to dazzle people with number while ignoring that it was a crap system with no games.

I have to agree with you on the Jaguar. The only game that system was worth was Doom. But Die Hard Arcade, Virtua Fighter, and Nights on Saturn were great.

Game companies were really down with mud-slinging in the 90's, weren't they?

You won't see a slogan like that today. Now, the consoles seem to do pretty well pretending they're the only one around.
