I've never seen this and I'm really curious about it. I've seen the odd panel but nothing more than that.
Has it ever been collected and/or reprinted?
Where's the best chance of finding it?

Mike did issues 9-11 back up story "The Return of Eddie Current" and it might be available in the trade paperbacks.

The hardcover edition of Metropol that I have does not have the back-up story.
Keep in mind I've seen 2 different covers of this Sorhenn Grafiks edition, but I'm assuming that the content is the same.

The Metropol saga is being reprinted as a trade by Image Comics sometime next year. From what I heard, they're really going to give it the royal treatment. Other than that, you can find issues on ebay.

I guess it may not have been reprinted because of being a back-up story. I have the Metropol HC from Blue-Eyed Dog / Purr Magazine, which has much extra's but it's not in there.
(Ted sure knows what costumed capers are about in my book! Although I like his A-1 story 'When pigs fly' and the Hellraiser bit best.)
I didn't mind tracking down issues 9-12 though, since I think Mignola's bit is highly fun stuff.
(And Jakob, if you'd have trouble: I know of a place that sells them as we speak...?)

Yes please, I'd really like to find them. :)
And I saw that Image is doing the Ted McKeever Library Book 1, 2 and 3 in hardcover. But since it's the Ted McKeever Library I don''t think it's gonna include Mignola.

Bad news: the Metropol #9-11 issues I had in mind, have either already been sold or I was mistaken, sorry:frown:. However I shall remain on the look-out for you.

The Metropol issues are well worth getting. The art is done right after the "Fafhrd & the Grey Mouser" story - I think. And that is very cool indeed - some of the best pre-Hellboy Mignola art in my opinion.
And the story have to be in "The Collected Short-stories of Mike Mignola - Other Weird Tales"

I just found out, that a comicbook-store in Copenhagen appears to have all 3 issues of Metropol (according to their on-line catalog).

Nice. You really shouldn't be without those.
(According to an interview - I believe in 'Amazing Heroes #196' Mike Mignola states he really enjoyed doing this particular story.)

Got the comics today and I'm really glad I found 'em. :D
I had previously only seen one page and in black and white.
Now that I can compare them I must say I prefer the b/w version. The colors don't quite do Mike's art justice.

I could see that. Generally, comic series got and get launched being either b/w or full color, don't they? To say that colors were then perceived 'the royal treatment'.
I really like what Dynamite does with all the different issues, some of which meaning leaving out the colors entirely. If Marvel did that, boy I'd need to pick up a lot of their stuff.
