Hi,

Ive rather quickly accumulated a little collection of Batman GNs since reading the Killing joke borrowed from a friend. It had been years since I had picked up a comic and I was blown away. I cant believed Ive been missing out on these things all these years. Im now totally hooked and cant get enough!!!

Can anyone suggest anything that isn't in my collection that has essential moments or character developments in the batman history?

Since discovering my new hobby. So far Ive only read, Year one, The Man Who Laughs, Batman: Lovers and Madmen, The Killing Joke and just on The Long Halloween at the moment.

My list isn't in order as such but any chronological advice would be appreciated .

The Man Who Laughs
Batman: Lovers and Madmen
The Killing Joke
Absolute: The Long Halloween
Year One
Year Two
Batman and the Monster Men
Batman and the mad monk
Dark Victory
Haunted Knight
Black and white volume 1
All star Batman and Robin The boy wonder
Four of a Kind
War on Crime
Venom
Gothic
The Cult
Turning Points
Faces
A Death in the Familly
Arkham Asylum
Knight Fall 1-3
Contagion
Cataclysm
No Mans Land vol. 1-5
Evolution
Absolute: Hush
Absolute: Dark Knight (The Dark Knight Returns, The Dark knight Strikes Again)
Catwoman: When in rome
Tales of the Multiverse: Batman - Vampire (Red rain, Bloodstorm & Crimson Mist)
Birth of the Demon
Son of the Demon
Bride of the Demon

I hear the son of the demon is good but is it advised to read the other Ra books first. If so which ones?

I'm also tempeted to get the rest of the "legends of the Dark knight" books availible but dunno if they are any good. Also are they all stand alone storys or do they have continuity?

Thanks in advance.

You havn't read Dark Knight Returns

don;t worry about chronology, it will fall into place as you go and that's half the fun of it, filling the gaps. and it's not even that important. Baman isn't real; the books exist to tell fun stories not chart the life of the guy. there is no true chronology and there never will be.

Added Birth of the demon, son of the demon and bride of the demon. Heard that son of the demon is great but didnt want to read the middle part of the trilogy without the rest. Are they any good?
