Final Crisis only has 4 issues left and I want to know where this is all going after FC is over. What does everybody else think? Any guesses?

Honestly for the last issue or so, I think Supes fight with Darkseid will eventually lead to mars with jonn jonnz and the entire concience of the martian race Against darkseid. Then they will use their knowledge of the life equation to purge the remains of the anti life formula from the minds of humanity.

Johns is doing Flash: Rebirth which will take the place of the current Flash series for a few months and will deal with Barry being alive.
I believe Grant said something about doing a Fifth World mini-series. Maybe introducing more reincarnated New Gods that didn't make it into Final Crisis.
There is also a new Justice League ongoing coming out with Shazam and Batwoman being members. Maybe we'll see some Mary Marvel in that if she gets redeemed in FC.

The Female Monitor in Superman Beyond said something about some sort of "divine medicine". Maybe Superman brings some of that back to Earth and uses it to purge the ALE out of everyone.

The only survivor in the Multiverse is Earth-1, formerly known as Earth-Prime (a.k.a. the "real world", where you and I and Grant Morrison actually live). Fortunately for DC Comics, all the other universes continue to exist as stories on Earth-1.

Just like in the DC 1,000,000 timeline. If that happens, I think I might have a fangasm.

I actually think somtehing like that will happen. I mean even if they stop darkseid. Mankind will probably be scarred from The anti life equation. Plus Darkseid found out about the Life equation from contacting the martians. He theorized there must be an Anti Life equation. It only makes sense they would be the ones to fix his doing.

It's just occurred to me that, thanks to the Rock of Ages storyline, Batman had forewarning of having to fight off Desaad's possession. And that maybe that's what the initiation ritual of Batman RIP is all about.

I don't get why Johns doesn't just make "Rebirth" an arc in the ongoing Flash title. Seems like an easier idea.
Am I the only one who's peeved that there will be a Justice League of America title and a Justice League title? They ought to call it something significantly different, like a new "Infinity Inc." or maybe "Justice League Task Force." Just calling it Justice League bothers me.

Actually, Earth-1 is the sort of default universe in DC Comics. Earth-Prime died before Crisis on Infinite Earths and hasn't reappeared since, its only survivor being Superboy-Prime.

Normally I'd say yes, but it all boils down to: sales. And boy howdy, does FLASH need those.
However, a story launched in a series only garner so many sales. But a new #1 insures many more sales than just a storyarc in an ongoing series.

IIRC, the premise of the new series is that Hal gets fed up with the JLA's handling of "justice" and splits off to form his own team with friends and colleagues who think similarly (Ollie, Ray Palmer and others)
It makes sense, then, not to change the name of the team very much, since they believe they're serving the same purpose, only with a heavier hand.
And lordy......DC just witnessed a fiasco with the latest incarnation of INFINITY INC. (sales ended around 7K - that's DISASTEROUS). That name can't be brought up again for another 20 years, man.

But in the post-COIE continuity, the term "Earth-1" has been conspicuously avoided (except for what was apparently an unauthorized--and debatably incorrect--usage in the first issue of the Tangent maxiseries now underway). There must be a big reveal planned for whatever is designated "Earth-1", and FC seems to be the most likely place for the revelation. If the reveal is "What we've been calling 'New Earth' is Earth-1", that doesn't seem to merit the trouble--it's just a short term enforcement of alternate semantics for no obvious purpose. I think Earth-1, whatever it is, will be the key to FC.

Perhaps all the other universes collapse into 1 Earth, while New Earth remains unscathed.
So New Earth is our Earth, and Earth-1 is just one big collection of all the other universes...?

So after about 40 years in our time of membership Hal is now against the way the JLA handles things?

I think he wants to be more proactive instead of just waiting around for bad things to happen. So it's basically like BatO
