First and foremost, welcome to Make Me a Superhero! This will be a weekly challenge of sorts. In which all posters are welcomed to post a design for the challenge. There really aren’t all that many rules for this thread.

- The picture of your design should be cropped to 550x800.
- Criticisms are welcomed, but in a polite and civil way. We don’t want to put anyone down, but help to improve their work.
- On every other Wednesday I will post the challenge. If you are interested in participating in the challenge of question, post the picture (via photobucket, imageshack, etc.) and a brief description of the characters back story, powers, and how your character ties into the challenge. You have until 11:59 p.m (CST) on Sunday to post your entry.
- That following Monday, I will post a voting thread, in which everyone is free to vote for which character they liked the most.
- The winner of that challenge get’s to choose the next challenge.
- After a competitor has entered their entry, please pm me with your idea for the next challenge, before the voting period ends.
(PMing right after submitting work is most helpful)
- Once again this is just a friendly design contest. So no eliminations. Furthermore, there is no commitment involved with Make Me a Superhero. So if you feel like playing one week and not the next, which is perfectly fine.

And to end it off… have fun!

Challenge: For your tenth challenge, Aljira invites you to redesign any Marvel or DC character a la the "Just Imagine Stan Lee" series where Stan Lee recreated several DC characters.

Once again, I will be taking charge of this contest until pryde comes back.

Challenge: For your tenth challenge, Aljira invites you to redesign any Marvel or DC character a la the "Just Imagine Stan Lee" series where Stan Lee recreated several DC characters.

Is the basic premise to remake a DC character as a Marvel character? If not can you post some Just Imagine Stan Lee series pictures as reference? Never heard of the series.

No, you can remake any Marvel or DC character in your own style/image. I just used the series as reference to those who had read it. Sorry for the confusion.

But simply put, take any DC or Marvel character, and recreate them in your own image.

so since everyone from the big two is up for grabs, should we call who we're doing to avoid overlap, or just let it be an all out free for all?

Know What....?
just popped in my head...mister miracle.
I am committed to this character and you may not recognize him at all.

I dibses Supergirl, but I don't mind if others do too. I think it might be more fun that way, cus we get to see how differently we would imagine the charries.

(I might've strayed from the exact challenge a bit, but I thinks you will like what I've done)

Originally designed to be a smarter, less flawed, "Supergirl" version of Bizzaro, Cera-el is a semi-organic, cybernetic clone of Kara Zor-el. During her creation, the technology that controlled her mental programing malfunctioned, creating a replica of the superheroine with the same ethics and morality. She was scheduled for destruction, but managed to escape and sought refuge with the JLA. Though she was completely honest about her origins, most members of the League were unwilling to trust her.
Cera is seldom active because the greatest flaw in her design gives her the body of a teenage girl, but her intelligence and raw power are far greater than what would be expected. Until it can be determined if she is composed of enough organic material to possess an aging process, she has been placed under the guardianship of Lois Lane.

Cera retains most of Kara's Kryptonian abilities, though her cybernetic composition does vary them to some degree. For example, her strength and durability are higher than a true Kryptonian's, but her superspeed is much slower to to her greater weight. She also cannot fly because she is unable to store enough energy to remain airborne, but her great strength allows her to execute superhuman jumps. She possesses amazing telescopic and microscopic vision which allows her to analyze objects on an atomic level, but her X-ray vision is highly limited.

Cera has a low-level weakness to green Kryptonite and she share's Bizzaro's vulnerability to blue K. Her greatest weakness, however, is her susceptability to electro-magnetic energies.

The superheroic feel of Cera's costume is minimal due to her limited budget (she is, after all, only a teenager). She wears a red and blue spandex top with a yellow embroidered S-shield, black cargo pants, red skate shoes, red and blue fingerless gloves, and a red belt with a chrome S-shield. She occasionally wears a red jacket as well.

(Sorries if I strayed from the challenge. BTW, this is my first pic using a real inking program instead of colored pencils. *Yay!* It's still crap, but it's better crap)

Thanks for submitting herogirl! She looks good! And thanks for PMing me right away with your idea!

Reminder to people who submit. Please PM me your ideas for the next challenge as soon as you can after submitting.

Also, why not stay away from re-creating/re-designing DC and Marvel (and other pre-existing) characters. Be creative. Think of something regarding the creation of a completely new character.

Five more hours!

And here's the second entry for the challenge. (For shame everyone!)

I recreated Polaris, of the X-Men.

Real name: Angela Stern
Powers: Manipulation of radiation for various effects (ie pyrokinesis, photokinesis)

Bio: Fashion model Angela Stern found herself at a crossroads. Unsure of what to do, Angela's hesitation led to her near death. As she lay dying, Angela looked into the night sky and found the north star, Polaris. Captivated, Angela felt an odd stir in her chest. When she looked down upon herself, her injuries had healed, her skin had turned a burnt amber, and fire raced along her limbs. Moments later, she passed out. In her unconscious state, she was visited by an unseen guardian which told her of her new rebirth as an avatar for the gods. When she awoke, Angela Stern was no more. Only Polaris remained.

Name: Joseph De Jesus

Well he was from a family of local priest down Costa Rico way. Amazed by his Sunday School stories of the miracles of the bible he began a quest to find them. He went on to study theology, anthropology and archaeology in his quest to find biblical relics. In Egypt he found a coat of colors that helped him interprete dreams and he also had dreams that helped him find the other relics. Each giving him the ability to perform miracles. He found the staff of Moses and the Spear of Destiny. In each of his quests he encounters people who would used these items for the ill of man, and he must defeat them with his new divine powers. People who see him in action call him Mister Miracle.
