So a friend came to me with a question i couldn't answer.

Wiki is listing under Kitty, Emma, and Illyanna a series of novels called X-Men Dimensions (3 books in total).

It also mentions a novel, X-Men Beginnings: Kitty Pryde (which Emma would be in)

I can find no reference to these 4 novels anywhere other than Wiki.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitty_Pryde#Books

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magik_(comics)#Novels_and_adaptation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Frost#Novels

Are these real? Some hoax? Anyone know?

(I thought it could be related to the upcoming Manga, but that's called Misfits

To be honest, No... I have never heard of them. I know that Emma was in 3 Gen X Novels though that aren't listed on Wiki so you can't really go by that.

Also, Misfits looks really interesting. Is it really about the X-Men? It looks like it would be Iceman, Pyro, and Kitty.

Gotta be a hoax.

That's what my friend thinks...but shouldn't there be a trigger?

I mean, a hoax played in case a huge Kitty fan who's friends with someone with a penchant for finding hidden information as well as a long time presence in online fandom happens to be bored one night so she reads the Kitty wiki page and wonders about it and goes to her friend to find out if he knows about it?

I mean google turns up this thread and the wiki pages.

She thought I might be hoaxing her, but the I'd have had stories planted in online press and at the comic store we go to so she'd stumble on it with me being completely uninvolved.

Wiki is used for laying the support for a hoax...not for the hoax itself.

(and in terms of a hoax...it's kind of lame...I mean, unless someone is a huge Kitty fan..who'd care?)

I'm wondering if maybe it's all someones "fan novel" and they're editing wiki...though again, shouldn't Google turn up something?

Given the Pyro/Iceman thing from the movie..substitute Kitty for Rogue and you have a pretty nice little triangle for a girl oriented school manga (which I think is the idea of the X-Men one).

There's also a Wolverine oriented one, if i recall...google del ray x-men manga and you should find the press releases.

I found out about this on Wiki as well--the Dazzler page, someone has put that Dazzler was confirmed as one of the main characters for the third book. But likewise, google searches on these alleged books have yielded no results.

What an odd hoax to start though... I mean...usually if people go through the trouble of creating a comic hoax they at least make up some fake covers and summaries and crap, lol.

I cannot find any evidence that these books are real, either!

This is so strange! Could someone be having delusions of grandeur about their fanfic, adding some fanciful plans for writing X-Men novels to Wikipedia articles?

Edited to say, I searched marvel.com and found nothing. Doesn't mean these novels aren't real, but searching the word "Dimensions" came up with other things, but no series of novels.

Same here. It sounded so interesting until i looked for further info but couldnt find any  . It would be interesting if it was given more information about it though... oh well.

accordin to imdb, there are two ultimate X-men animation movies no one has ever heard of.

The Tomorrow People (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0482024/)

Return to Weapon X (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0491818/)
