Ok I just picked up The Many Lives Of Madrox SC and Heart Of Ice HC. In a couple of weeks I'm going to get Life And Death Matters and The Only Game In Town. I'm going to wait until I get the others before I start reading them. Scanning thru the books real quick, I like the art so far.

Happy Holidays!
And thanks for reading the bio, that took a long time to do
Glad you liked it  What was your favourite pic on the bio page?
Which avatar was your fave?
I vote for justinkos91 because of his awesome and in depth Siryn thread and biography.
Thanks for reading (and the vote), greatly appreciated. Glad you liked it (http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=239268&page=12).

Who's Sook?
What Greg Anderson basically. Sook has a noir kind of style when it comes to his art, and I can speak for myself andprobably a few others that the art was what was part of the allure to the book. Peter David writing it is what also makes it good.
Original artist of X-Factor in the beginning.

c is the funniest! Has she used it recently?
You're not the only one to ask, WBE asked earlier in this thread, don't think he saw my answer, but the last time she used it was during Endangered Species at that Christian concert. Some guy overheard them talking bad about the band and asked if they shag mutants, the talk of shag put Siryn in the mood for an expensive rug and Siryn "convinced" a guy to get her an expensive rug and he left the concert to do so, Monet is beside her admiring her deep streak of cruelty. Funny moment though... Don't think we saw that guy again, or his rug though...

Thanks, the times I remember easily when she used her seductive was in X-Factor #1 which was by accident with the woman in the restaurant, and with Spider Man when she got him to tell her about who caused the Decimation. I had forgotten about the persian rug thing at the concert!

lol, the X-Factor #1 moment was my avatar for over a month, mostly November  She also used it in X-factor #3 on an old guy in order to get inside a building, Singularity. She tried it on Damian Tryp, but it didn't work.
Theresa and Monet, I see Theresa as the pacifist of the two and Monet as the more "aggressive" of the duo, especially the whole Paris incident and surrendering to the cops and escaping with Nicole. The deep streak of cruelty, I found funny, maybe Monet's having a bad influence on Terry, lol

Fun Facts:
- Siryn is a Catholic.
- One of the 4 only Irish characters in the Marvel Universe, including her father, Shamrock, and her Uncle. Haven't seen the kinsmen in a long while...
- Gave up alcohol in X-Force #31 and has been learning to cope with it ever since.

Molly Fitzgerald (http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/shamrockcoc.htm) (aka Shamrock (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamrock_(comics))) is also Irish/Catholic/Marvel
She's not the most original character, though, hehe:
http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d67/wairata/Shamrock.jpg
From Wikipedia:
Molly Fitzgerald was born in Dunshaughlin, Ireland, and was the daughter of a militant member of the IRA. As Shamrock, she serves as a vessel for displaced poltergeists and souls that have died as innocent victims of war; these spirits manifest themselves for fractions of seconds to cause good luck for her and bad luck for those who oppose her.
LOL ---> She later retired from superhero activity and became a hairdresser.
Kind of an odd profession for a superhero to pick up, no?

Too much Irish steriotypes.:
Cathiholic.(Well not a steriotype, but a fact that most Irish people are Catholic.)
Red hair
Heavy drinkers.
Don't get me wrong, I love Syrin and I love Irish people(most of them). I didn't mean to offend anyone. The steriotype thing just popped in my mind.

No offense taken :tongue::smile:
I partially agree with you though. Her earlier appearances realy fit the Irish stereotypes, but her character has evolved, not necessarily Americanized, but she's moved further away from the typical stereotypes. As for her religion, well the town she grew up in was mostly Catholic, so that explains things, plus she's been seen praying and going to confession in the odd issue. The drinking, well that was all resolved mostly.

Kate Mara's a great choice! I'd go with her if we couldn't get Kate Winslet, lol.
Not to throw the thread too far off track, but I find early Shirley (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1N29vkIT3eo) sexier.
I don't think she'd be a good choice for Siryn, personally. I've been watching her in Terminator and I think she makes a good robot, but that isn't really saying much about her acting ability, is it? XD
I agree with you on that. I prefer Shirley as a singer
Addicted to her music though, lol
On the X-Cast thread, I saw Kate Mara there too, casted as Siryn
she really would do a good job appearance wise, having the red-hair and being sexy at the same time.
Wonder if she can speak in an Irish accent, lol. Either way, she would make a good Siryn, nice choice

As for Vanessa, your guess is as good as mine
I know they were dating somewhere in between after Siryn's recovery, since Wade thought Terry was brushing him off. Either way, it was happily ever after for the two, though they're not together anymore at the moment.
Is Deadpool dating anyone right now? If so, then I also like the idea of her dating someone from X-Factor
Especially Madrox, since he's showing more growth and maturity, but who knows what will come of this...

I think Deadpool is too much like an Extreme Teleporting Spiderman without spider powers but has Nightcrawler's powers. Or exactly like that

However, at that very moment, Siryn returns having changed her mind, and admits that she knows Wade needs her, and she needs him as well. They kiss, and start making love in the middle of a field. (Deadpool (3rd series) #12)

Yeah, but then again, not many X-characters were portrayed well in the movies (See Rogue)
Siryn's no child, but her having a cameo was all right I suppose
I could see her not being with the main team, considering she's mainly in a satellite book, but she was lucky she got air time at least.

I think it's referring to astonishing x-men, the whole unstoppable arc
at te time, Cyclop's were "disabled", that's probably the portrayal being seen
The Deadpool, I think it's a representation on how close DP has ties to the X-books, yet he's not really involved with them. An X-character that doesn't really interact with the other X-characters, minus Cable of course  Deadpool is being portrayed as the outsider of the X-books, not that it's a bad thing. I like the portrayal too, though it looks like Warpath has Kurt's tail, lol.
Hom doing X-Factor would be nice, it's a fresh change from the current artists they've had. As long as PAD sticks with one consistent artist for the next arc, I'm content

I like the portrayal too, though it looks like Warpath has Kurt's tail, lol.
Hom doing X-Factor would be nice, it's a fresh change from the current artists they've had. As long as PAD sticks with one consistent artist for the next arc, I'm content
I hope he doesn't bring Stroman back.

That's something I can 100% agree with you on
I actually bought some of the early 90s X-Factor a couple days ago
The whole Hells-Belles and Rhapsody story arc
I look at it and wonder why his work can't be like that.
It was good and the characters were recognizable, and the art just felt right.
In my honest opinion though, I think his portrayals of men look better than the women, but that's just my $0.02

Can Siryn sing? There was a shot of her and Banshee at the mic, Moira covering her ears, but it was before Siryn's hypno-voice and well, it could have been any of the two singing bad. Could there be a way that Siryn could alter her vocal chords to perfection? Not that I wanna see her have a career as a singer  What's your opinion on Siryn and her singing voice, if she has one or not?

Moira's expression is one of pain, lol. I don't think either of them can sing very well, which is really kind of ironic considering their powers are entirely vocal
If we continue likening her to the sirens of Greek lore, her voice would likely drive men mad rather than ecstatic, right?
P.S. What's with her hair color in this image? wah!

Who knows about the hair
One minute, she's a redhead, then reddish blondish, different artist interpretation here I suppose.
I ask this because this shot was before her siren voice was discovered
and before she had more control on the range of her vocal chords
Would she be a good singer now?:smile:
Never thought of the driving men insane part before, but I couldn't see her doing that
not unless it was necessary. she seems like the pacifist type
only acts if necessary basically, but you have a good point there

to Marvell2100, Theresa made her name Theresa Rourke Cassidy, not Cassidy O'Rourke, either way, great name idea  Sean Rourke Cassidy sounds good. Wonder if the baby will have his dad's last name included in his too though...

Overall, they both sound good, I think the Madrox would be absolutely necessary if Siryn and madrox actually tied the knot, other than that, I guess it's up to the two of them. Me, I prefer the first one, honoring her father is honoring his last name as well.

I can see the use of Jamie in the name but not Madrox.
Sean Jamie Rourke Cassidy is the name. If there is a Cassidy Keep, then they need someone with Cassidy in their name. Next, we need to magically age the baby about 18 years and then have him go kick some Vulcan butt in memory of his gramps.

I've seen threads about what a character should do next, due to something big happening in their life, so no point in me making a new thread for that, seeing there's already a couple on characters like Nightcrawler or Ink. Instead of a completely new thread, a poll for you instead. After Siryn has her baby, what should she do next?
a) Miss out on adventures and raise her child, being a dedicated parent and focusing on raising it properly, only come on missions when absolutley needed.
b) Balance parenting and X-Factor, hire a babysitter, or a dupe when gone.
c) Who says whether or not the birth will be successful? (for you pessimistic people)
d) Do what Val Cooper says and some how reason with the government.

I wouldn't mind if Siryn went off panel only to raise her child properly
Let her be an example of a good marvel parent. She had some off time after getting her throat slashed out before, a break would be fine as long as no harm is done to the character of course.

I agree on this, wasn't Magneto "dead" supposedly? He got brought back as well. Psylocke and Colossus were favourites too, and banshee, well he was around when Colossus was. A comeback of Banshee would be nice, considering the following he has. Generation X influenced how I felt about him a lot of the time, because after Gen X, well he was on X-corps, had his throat slashed, was off for some time, making cameo appearances and that's when we saw less of him, and when he did come back, well he died. Before Gen X. He was a good team member as well and was a part of the second generation of X-men which is pretty spectacular.

I saw Banshee and I felt it was a man with a sonic scream, like it was nothing spectacular. I saw Siryn and the resemblance to him and got curious about who she was basically and read about her first and who she came from and wondered if she had any relation to him, considering this is before I knew anything about her. After reading about her character, I decided, why not give her father a chance...
Oh, Siryn was able to stop Wolverine? How kool, when did his happen?
This happened in the second X-men movie, when Stryker's forces invaded the mansion. She basically woke everyone up but was taken out, but Colossus did rescue her. Wolverine was stopped in his tracks, before she was taken out though. It was nice seeing her in the movie, thoug her role wasn't that big, still, she was acknowledged

I really think Siryn was at her best when she was co-leader of X-Force. I think she learned just as much from Cable as Sam did. I really want to see that particular group of mutants form a team again:
Siryn
Dani
Sam
Warpath
Tabitha
Jesse Bedlam
Sunspot (optional at this point)
Domino (optional)
Rahne
One spot for someone else, I dunno who.
And have Jim Cheung draw them.
You said spot for one more? I know Amara Aquila, Magma! I like her and think she is greatly underused like Siryn. Maybe in the future we will get to see them all on a team again, though I would prefer to take Meltdown and Cannonball out. This way Theresa could be leader again instead of Sam, and we could have Rictor and Shatterstar rejoin!

This would be my fav costume of her as well as of right now. The costume doesnt look as good on this cover though, the cape looks shorter, and I dont see any black stripes on it. Theres is an appearance of her in Uncanny 341 I believe, she is talking to Storm in the rain, u have that scan? Its the issue where Onslaughts beats the tar out of Juggernaut!
Uncanny X-men #322 actually, and I do havethat scan on page 12 of this thread

Yup  It was posted around page 11-13
But thanks anyways, it was still a good read
What did you think of it?
Darn... I was fairly sure it had already been posted but couldn't find it anywhere...
It is a very good spotlight... Syrin is one of my favourite former X-Forcers, and was among the reasons i stuck with X-Factor as long as i did. Before Stroman's art killed my enjoyment of the book.

I would have ditched the book for the art, I almost did
I bought it anyways, X-Factor wouldn't feel right without the stories in between missing.
Though the stoy wasn't that great, I only bought them to show how Longshot and Darwin got on the team to begin with. Otherwise, I would have ditched it. I bought the issues the same day as the Delandro one came out.
Glad you like Siryn
What are your people's opinions on her interactions with Risque and Warpath?

Who would you like to see Siryn team-up with? In X-Factor, we've seen a lot of team-ups with Monet, and well, they work very well together  . Anyone else you think would work well with her? Her and Deadpool were nice to see in the 90s too as well. Anyone you'd like to see her team-up with?
My suggestion(s):
- Dazzler: Ali's powers get stronger with more sound, and Terry's powers relate to sound.
- Banshee: He may be dead, but it would be nice to at least see a flashabck of them together.
Feel free to express your opinions as well
I would like to see her team up wit Songbird. That way the 2 birds can scream a siren song together! I am not sure about them kissing afterwards like her and Black Canary did! What do u guys think? Is kissing after screaming and singing a good thing for Siryn?

1) Who would you cast as Siryn in a movie?
2) Siryn attacking Val Cooper-- un-necessary or necessary?
3) Who, other than PAD, would you like to see write Siryn?
I would like to see Grant Morrison write her. I thought he wrote very good characterization for both Jean and Emma. Emma became awesome wit her new power, and her rivalry to Jean. She was made an A-lister during his run. I liked how he wrote Polaris even though it was only for one issue in New X-men 132. I think he also wrote Siryn breifly, I cant remember the issue, but I liked her appearance in New X-men.

1) Never thought about it before... who does a good fiesty redhead, hmm? That chick Cameron from House (I know, she's blond now, but I like her as a redhead...)? I did a search on Irish actress and everyone's either too old or too young (except maybe Sarah Bolger, see below)... Maybe Kate Winslet? Amy Smart? Nah, Amy Smart's definitely too old, dang... Anna Friel? Oh, and here's a weird choice I'm putting out there: Ellen Muth.
My personal favorite at this point is Kate Winslet.

Sarah Bolger:

I go wit Sarah Bolger. She is the best one, she is skinny like Theresa and young wit a nice smile. With orange hair, she would make a perfect Siryn. I liked Kate Winslett during Titanic, but she is much older now, she wouldnt make a good Siryn in my book. So yea, Sarah Bolger!

Siryn's not into girls, though Deadpool or Madrox wouldn't mind
Both of them would seem like a good pair, having similar powers.

Sarah Bolger would be a good "young" Siryn, like the Muir Island times and early X-Force. I find Kate mara would portray the current Siryn best, both aren't too old or too young, assuming Kate's in her 20s. Shauna Cain in the original X2 seemed young, though it was nice to see her at least.
Thanks for that scan Justinkos! I loved how Siryn's costume was here, this was my fav costume of her. I loved seeing her in the rain, and her eyes looked really pretty in those panels. I personally thought she looked cross-eyed there, but that's just how I see it.
I really enjoyed this costume (debuted X-Force #19), Liefeld's design just seemed so bulky and meh, this design doesn't look like a ripoff of Rogue's costume. The liefeld design had the yellow down to her feet, only difference is the open collar. Otherwise, I like this costume, maybe it's the way it was drawn, who knows...
Theresa and Gambit, I saw it as a one time moment and that was probably the only time they actually interacted, but she and the rest of X-Force were living at the mansion at the time, being invited by Cyclops. Siryn and Gambit, they seem so different from each other plus Gambit's main focus is on a woman he can't even touch, Rogue. Siryn and warpath would have been nice, he was her protector and helped her through hard times, though I doubt we'll see that with Hepzibah in town and Si being all the way in San Francisco. Good suggestion though...

Going a little off topic here for a minute. I read the first chapter of "The Many Lives of Madrox" trade and so far so good. The analysis of each team member was a good way for me to get reaquainted with some tof the characters. I like the way that Teresa sort of used logic to prove that her father was still alive. If there is no body then he isn't dead. Also, I liked how M expressed how she felt about Sean, that he was more of a father to her than he was to Teresa. I wonder if any of the other former members of Gen X felt that way about him. Poor Rahne has gone thru so much that I can see why she seems to have snapped. I'm beginning to wonder if Pietro is delusional. To me Jamie seems to have the biggest issues out of all the others. It seems he really doesn't know whose life he's living or whose memories are who's. The first chapter was a good read and the art was above adequate. I'll post my opinions(like theymean anything, lol) on the second chapter once I'm done reading.

After the mission, Cable is being observed and checked on, feral making sarcastic remarks and Siryn and Warpath not liking them too much; heck, Warpath even back-handed Feral. While he did get better, Siryn is seen stumbling around drunk, flirting with Shatterstar who is oblivious to her wanting to "do him" basically and finds her words unpleasant. She then throws herself at Cable and falls down, making a fool of herself. James comes out and helps Siryn to bed, feeling concern about her constant drinking problem. (X-Force (1st series) #26)

Either way, I hope she returns to her green sook outfit. If she does get a new costume design, why not the rest of the team?

Siryn got into drinking at the age of 13 to ease the pain of the feeling of abandonment, since she was left at a boarding school by her uncle. It was peer pressure at first, but everyone else gave it up, minus Siryn. Ever since then, Siryn drank to ease pain/stress/whenever she felt bad. She gave it up eventually, X-Force #31 to be exact. She still struggle with the temptation to drink, and even became an alcoholic again after having the throat ripped up by Feral, but AA meetings helped. Siryn hasn't had alcohol for a very long time and has been seen drinking mostly water, due to being pregnant.
There was never anything serious between Siryn and Warpath. He liked her as more than a friend, but she just saw him as a friend, either way, their friendship was really strong. Siryn did get jealous when Warpath started to date Risque, but they reconciled after and both agreed to just be friends some time later after she saved his life. When Siryn had her throat torn up by Feral, Siryn said a special goodbye to James before sh left. After that, haven't seen much interaction between the two.

Age of Apocalypse:
Siryn in the Age of Apocalypse was founded by the ragtag team that consisted of the members Forge (Leader), Mastermind, Toad, Brute, and Soaron. During a rescue where she was found, her powers manifested and she helped Forge's group out and eventually joined them. She then took the code-name Sonique and eventually forged a relationship with nate Grey A.K.A. X-man. During some down time, X-man took Theresa to the Astral Plane and they visit the Xavier institute in Astral Form, only to be detected by Magneto's son, Charles, then Theresa and Nate leave. The group is then attacked by Domino and her group of assasins, Caliban and Grizzly and a fight breaks out. Sonique and Forge kill Grizzly, and the rest of Domino's squad is stopped, but a few members of the group are stopped too. After the fight, Essex, another member of the ragtag team, kills Forge and reveals himself to be Mr. Sinister and a fight between him and Nate breaks out. Sonique and Soaron come to nate's aid, being the only surviving members of the group and help take down Sinister, and Nate eventually lashes out and leaves Sinister to die. As Nate leaves to stop Apocalypse, he and Sonique have a final kiss goodbye, and Theresa and Soaron go their own way. (X-Man #1-4)
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o296/justinkos91/Sirynandnate.jpg
As it turns out, it wasn't "Happily ever after" for Theresa, it was actually as far as can be. It had been revealed that Sinister had not died at all and after Jean Grey's death, Sinister took the body from Magneto, making a deal with him, and made Jean his own employee, to use and manipulate. Though this was off panel, Sonique was controlled and made one of Mr. Sinister's members of the Sinister Six. During the final showdown between the X-men and Mr. Sinister and his Sinister Six, she was taken out by Gambit, but not killed, still under the mental control. Once Jean broke free, thanks to Weapon X, so did those who were working for Mr. Sinister, including Sonique. It is not known what has happened to Sonique after that fallout, it is unknown, but she is still alive. (X-men: Age of Apocalypse #5-6)

During the big storyline of 1996, Onslaught, Nate was put into X-Force's care and the two actually met.
They never really interacted that much, but Nate saw the familiarity in many of the members, Domino being a kiler in his time, and Siryn being his love in his time.

What would you expect to happen? Recent X-Factors after this, a lot of things will be seen from Madrox's view as he is visiting his priest dupe and having to deal with sentinels (as seen from previews). Anyhow, if we see what happens from Siryn, what would you expect?
a) Back to the bottle; alcoholic again
b) Consoling from the rest of X-Factor
c) A visit from the psychologist (Another Doc Samson visit?)
d) Other (your answer...)
Do you feel sympathy for her?
Do you like the acknowledgement of her and Monet's friendship?

Ever since thethe recent fallout, things aren't looking to positive
What would you expect to happen? Recent X-Factors after this, a lot of things will be seen from Madrox's view as he is visiting his priest dupe and having to deal with sentinels (as seen from previews). Anyhow, if we see what happens from Siryn, what would you expect?
a) Back to the bottle; alcoholic again
b) Consoling from the rest of X-Factor
c) A visit from the psychologist (Another Doc Samson visit?)
d) Other (your answer...)
Do you feel sympathy for her?
Do you like the acknowledgement of her and Monet's friendship?
What's your opinion on her current state?
As much as it saddens me I think this will make Terry hit the bottle again. I really do feel bad for her just asshe learns to accept the death of her father thanks to the birth of her son, she up and loses him too. Its just really sad. I am loving her friendship with Monet and hope it continues on in its greatness. I personally hope Deadpool makes an appearance and does some damage to Jamie for hurting Terry emotionally.

Throughout X-Factor, I am liking the character developments, Monet started off as a snob, but we see the soft side of her too, Siryn being one of the few friends she never had due to being Penance'd and having Everett die on her and not really getting along with the rest of Gen X that well. In the case of Jubilee and M, it was tragedy that brought them together, but in the case of Siryn and Monet, it was a trip to Paris, shopping, and talking; female bonding.
A Deadpool appearance would be nice too, maybe a nice little reunion would be cool *HINT-HINT* (In case PAD is somewhere out there). I wonder if wedding bells are still in the air though? At the beginning, she said she could never be mad at Madrox, but something like this, well... that's an entirely different thing. I wonder if the name Sean is cursed...
My stance on this, she may be depressed at first but will get through it in the end like she always has, Siryn's a tough cookie. It may be a dark period but there's always a light at the end of a tunnel. I found the issue shocking and at the same time, the characters feel real, but X-Factor is living up to it's purpose, to Expect the unexpected. It was sad, and the characters, you could feel sorry for and sympathize as well. The book has strong characterization and PAD is living up to what he said in the interview.

I remember reading an interview saying the baby would have an impact, but not the way we might expect. I thought it meant the baby was not going to be a mutant.. so I was really shocked.

From the cover and the future of mutantkind reference, I was hoping to see a happy ending for Siryn and the baby and Madrox, one of those Kodak moments. There was one, but then again, well I assume there's no such thing as a happy ending in the Marvel Universe.
I hope she doesn't take the self-destructive route though. Doing what he did to the baby to advance the plot on a certain character just doesn't feel right. It was well written, but do we need another Madrox story? (feels like Madrox and X-Factor; Wolverine and the X-men) I just hope we see Terry's reaction and how she deals with this. Hope to see more other X-Factor character interaction too as well.
The issue was well written and pretty much perfect and unexpected, but it would have been nice to see a happy ending. Let's just hope the baby is brought back.

Siryn, Domino and Meltdown have returned to Camp Hayden where they intend to follow up on their recent involvement there and the “Nimrod” project – however, they find nothing but an empty facility. They wonder what the word Onslaught scrawled across one of the walls means but before long the Blob, somehow even fatter and more hideous than before, drops in on them. He is eventually defeated and the trio wonder what to do with him, until he is carried off by Mimic. (X-Force (1st series) # 52) At the Xavier Institute, Siryn, Domino and Meltdown arrive back from a mission and are told by Warpath and Shatterstar that they have to go on another mission; Gideon is dead and Sunspot and Caliban are in danger. X-Force battle the remaining Externals, until Selene arrives in the shadows, taking out Warpath, and he goes missing after that. (X-Force (1st series) # 53) With Selene killing of the Externals, X-Force is framed for murdering them. Siryn, Sunspot, Domino, Meltdown and Shatterstar are interrogated by several detectives, including Charlotte Jones, about the deaths of Gideon, Absalom and Crule. X-Force retells what happened with Selene and the Externals. They are proven innocent and let go. (X-Force (1st series) # 54)
I remember seeing the cover of an X-force issue where Domino,Siryn, and Meltdown take down the Blob. I never got the issue, but always wondered what happened. The cover looked awesome, and I would love to see some scans of them fighting the Blob. Thanks Justinkos!

She did try that, but it was unsuccessful, but, there may be a reason why Madrox is visiting his priest dupe next ish. When he touched his dupes son (X-Factor #16), he didn't absorb it there, but with Siryn's baby, well, the opposite happened there, with the absorbing his dupes kid and all that.

X-Force break into the SHIELD Helicarrier, on a mission for the X-Men. Siryn expresses her view that they should in fact be looking for their missing teammate Warpath, and Domino suggests to her that she admit her true feelings for Warpath before it’s too late. They find out Cyclops is being held by SHIELD, break him free and take out many SHIELD guards. and return to the X-mansion with Phoenix. (X-Force (1st series) # 55)
Siryn and Shatterstar are on their own this evening, and play a game of “tag” in an abandoned church. During their game, Siryn sees a reflection of Deadpool and remembers being a prisoner at the Weisman Institute, and how Deadpool rescued her. Making their way to the Weisman Institute, Siryn expresses her anger at being locked away their in the first place. After a cautious entry to the facility, Siryn finds herself alone, as Shatterstar sneaks off to investigate his concerns, but as he snoops, he is discovered by Dr. Weisman, Deadpool and the young boy Jeremy Stevens. Siryn meanwhile, searches for Deadpool, but finds a whole bunch of them, babbling inane sentences, taunting her, then after a while, attacking her. Finally, Siryn stumbles upon the real Deadpool, held prisoner in a padded cell. As she rescues him, she is confronted by Dr. Weisman and Jeremy Stevens. Siryn attacks Weisman, which is when the Gamesmaster relinquishes his possession of her. With everyone free, Deadpool kisses Siryn. Shortly after, Siryn finds Shatterstar outside, and after yelling at him for not helping her, she realizes he has been crying, and he tells her that he thinks his whole life has been a lie after information he gathered from the Gamesmaster. (X-Force (1st series) # 56)
During the Onslaught crisis, X-Force arrives at the Xavier Institute for a briefing, and find out Cable is a target of Onslaught. While there, Siryn meets Nate grey from the Age of Apocalypse for the first time, and finds out X-Force has to guard him. (Uncanny X-Men #335)

I loved the interaction wit Domino and Terry in X-force 55. I always thought Dom was like a big sister to Terry. I remember Siryn being very concerned about Warpath being missing, and Domino said something like, you wait til he is missing to show all this concern for him. I got this issue and I remmeber Terry using her powers in a very skillful way, and her saying that her Dad taught her the trick. Even before Banshee died, Siryn was always mentioning Sean here and there, she loved her Dad even though she wasnt raised by him. I miss the interaction between Dom and Siryn. :frown: I hope Domino makes an appearance in X-factor since she is back, would love to see Terry's reaction to seeing Dom after all these years and I would love to know what Dom thinks of Terry having a baby. Even Dom came close to being pregnant when her and Wolverine were making noises in the barn... but I think that was jus Gibberish on Emma's part. lol

I am not sure, but I hope so. Looking at the cover is somewhat of a relief, with the team together again., but then again, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Layla is dearly missed though and I hope we see the results of the fallout play a role. It would just suck if we only saw Madrox's point of view and not anyone elses. That's just my $0.02 though...

I got nothing against any characters from X-Factor, many have been handled quite well. Madrox dying would only prove death can be used at a plot device, which would be disappointing no matter what character. Though I like Madrox, and I feel bad for both him and Siryn, I have high hopes in seeing her point of view in what has happened.

Whoa whoa, now! Madrox is my favorite Marvel character, and I surely would NOT want to see him die. It wasn't his fault whatsoever, the guy was clearly looking forward to having a kid and be happy with Siryn. This is surely something that's gonna scar him and from a reader's view, it's a way to see how he deals with it, if he'll be able to fix it, use it to understand himself, etc.

That's how I see it too. As much as I am a Siryn fan, Madrox feels just as bad too. Would killing him make her look any better? I know there's plenty of Madrox fans out there and as much as I like the idea of Siryn being a strong woman, her killing just wouldn't be in character for her and there would be backlash from Madrox fans too. I feel bad for both, and though I am cool with your opinions (for those who want Madrox to die), I just feel killing from Siryn just wouldn't seem her. Thanks for the opinions though... would the baby even be considered dead because he only reabsorbed him...

I agree on that, Siryn's not the killing type. Anyone who wants Madrox to die is just over-reacting in a way, I know Siryn was absolutely devestated, but imagine how bad he feels about this as well.

Haha thats funny! I dunno, Madrox just isnt that interesting of a character. This also goes for Wolfsbane and Guido, I never really liked them. I did like Madrox's interactons wit Polaris during original X-factor, he is like Morph from Exiles. I just dont see him as a team leader, I can deal with him if he continues to treat Siryn good. As for Wolfsbane, thank God she is gone from X-factor. She is one of the worst from Claremont's New Mutants, and she jus seems to take uneccessary space and spotlight from Lorna and Terry that she shouldnt. As for Guido, another heart attack would do, this time lets hope its permanent. Peter David is a good writer, I loved his work on Cap Marvel and She-Hulk. I dont agree with his taste on certain characters though, like Wolfsbane, Guido, and Mutiple Man. Hopefully he gets rid of Guido as well and gives room for more interesting characters like Siryn, Monet, and Rictor. Siryn and Monet are doing good, but Rictor could certainly use more character development, I say they bring back Shatterstar to interact wit him and Siryn. See, this is what I find interesting when it comes to things like comics and taste, etc. Madrox is my favorite Marvel character. I relate to him a lot mentally and he's someone I have a huge enjoyment of reading. I find him to be 100% interesting and leaves me always coming back for more. Now, I also love Guido too. I would not want to see him taken out of the book. I do agree I feel certain characters should get more development, but I'm not going crazy over it. I've grown so attached to the X-Factor cast that it breaks my heart when any of them is mentioned that they should leave the book. Funny too as before I picked up the book, I never cared too much for any of them. To me they were "those characters." The non-important ones who didn't matter. WELL, I'm glad they didn't at the time nor got too popular because I'm loving them now!
And see, at the same time there are many other characters I don't see why people flip all over for and go on a frenzy praising. And I'd never ask for them to be removed from a book because I know they have their fans.

I'm glad they're in the book, to be honest. When i was little, I first found out about Longshot in the cartoon. I thought he was pretty kool. Other than that, I only read his Ult. X-Men appearance so I never got the hate people had for him. Also, remember how much people hated Layla before PAD started writing her. Now all you hear now is "where's Layla?! where's my Layla?!" PAD can write the hell outta characters and make nearly everyone like them. I hate when people bash on characters and claim they won't read the book anymore because of it. Riiiight.

Thanks for posting this JustinKos! I have to say both Domino and Siryn look lovely in this issue. I loved the interaction between the 2 of them, they had a connection, I always saw Dom like her big Sister. I like Dom better with longer hair and when she wears purple, she is hotter than when she is all in black. As for Warpth and Siryn, I think they would make an interesting couple. I am hoping X-factor and X-force can meet up in future issues, would love to see Terry's interaction with Warpath and Domino again. Maybe she would get a chance to see Cable again as well. Who knows, maybe the messiah baby is Siryn's sister. They both have red hair, no? I know its unilikely, just thought I would at that line in there, I am sure its a Summer/Grey descendant.

Riiiight.
I think a lot of the hate comes from the hairdo and how he hasnt changed his costume in years, but that's just how I see it, plus his childish personality. His character is good in some ways, but I may sound shallow and all, but lose the mullet and update that outfit is my only negative thing to say about Longshot. Darwin, he hasn't been around long enough. He was damsel in distress in recent X-Factor, but played a big role in the Rise and Fall of the Shi'ar Empire. For both, I'd have to see how they are in X-Factor before I talk about why I like/dislike them. So far so good though
UGH. I don't like Longshot or Darwin.
Bring back Layla and Rahne!
Too many guys now.
I miss Layla :frown: Rahne in X-Force is all right, she was the moral prt of X-Factor, but losing her innocence is pretty kickass too and quite the development she needed. Switching between two teams would be a pain, her being in San Fran. and the rest of X-Factor in Detroit. We still got one redhead who's religious at least

No problem, I really like Domino and Siryn.
If X-Factor and X-Force meet, let's hope it's on a good note

*Longshot and Darwin
I knew about Darwin from The Rise and fall of The Shiar Empire story arc, he is ok. I wouldnt mind seeing more of Longshot though, I always thought he was a mix of Gambit and Domino. His powers r interesting, and I like that he is not from Earth. That sets up a book within his character to write, he comes from another world. I also like his ties to Dazzler and Shatterstar, it would be kool if they joined the book as well. Then we could have Rictor,Shatterstar, and Siryn on the same team again, that would be awesome! We could have Longshot and Dazzler together again, and we could see them interact with their son Shatterstar! Brillant idea, I hope Peter David gives this some thought! Then we could bring back Warpath,Domino, Polaris, and Havok, then we could name the book X- Fatorce!

I read the bio. very nice.
I compared it to the spotlight on...Siryn on uncannyxmen.net
I liked yours better. They gloss over so much and it really isn't up to date.

NEW POLL!
What is your favourite Siryn and Banshee moment?
a) Uncanny X-men #148; When they first meet and he found out about her being his daughter and Moira was jealous.
b) Uncanny X-men #278; Siryn knocks him out cold (though she was influenced by Shadow King, still an interaction)
c) X-Force #35; Banshee wants to be closer with Siryn, she accepts, at the same time, both admitting their mistakes
d) X-Force #41; X-Force visits Gen X, they spend time quality time together
e) Generation X #44; more quality time with her father
f) Other (any moment I may have forgotten to mention that you find special)

B) I like 'em fiesty and any cute irish girl who will knock her dad on his ass is cool in my book.
Also shows that she surpassed him so to speak. It tells me though she might be a disrespectful young lass, she is fiery and strong. Meanwhile Banshee learned a lesson about her, if there was any doubt she was his daughter it was banished.
She throws a mean punch, I bet he'd be proud.

I wonder what Gen X. would have been like if she joined them and became a student... More time with her father at least, and her and Monet are around the same age (I assume) I don't own that issue, but someone posted it on here and it was good. A lot of their meet-ups are a little patchy, but it can't be perfect. I liked the moment from X-Force, Dodson on art, confrontaions about things both did in their past, it was a fun time for them too

She wanted him when he had Risque.

I wonder how it would have been if she were one of the original New Mutants? That would been an interesting group. And for Warpath to be in the Hellions then and to fall for her would have created an interesting dynamic between the teams.

I view Siryn and Warpath's relationship that of really good friends. I don't think Siryn ever really loved Warpath the way he did her. I think her jealousy of Risque was only because she was the only woman he had in his life at the time and him moving on upset that balance a bit for her.

I can see where you're coming from that and I'm in 100% agreement about that.
I wonder if they are still friends or if that portion of their life is over (being friends) and they have moved on
